Eoin Murphy (Kilkenny Hurler)
Eoin Murphy (born 6 August 1990) is an Irish hurling, hurler who plays for Kilkenny Intermediate Hurling Championship, Kilkenny Intermediate Championship club Glenmore GAA, Glenmore and at inter-county level with the Kilkenny senior hurling team. He usually lines out as a goalkeeper. Playing career New Ross Vocational College Murphy first came to prominence as a Gaelic footballer at New Ross Vocational College. It was during his time here that he was selected for the Wexford GAA, Wexford vocational schools' team. Murphy won back-to-back All-Ireland B Championship medals in 2008 and 2009. Waterford Institute of Technology Murphy studied at the Waterford Institute of Technology and joined the Waterford IT GAA, senior hurling team in his second year at the institute. On 1 March 2014, he captained the team from centre-back when Waterford IT defeated the CIT GAA, Cork Institute of Technology by 0-17 to 0-12 to win the Fitzgibbon Cup. Kilmacow GAA
Kilmacow GAA club is situated in the village of Kilmacow. The club has a hurling team which competes in the Junior Hurling Championship. They have won the Kilkenny Junior Hurling Championship once in 1956 when the club was known then as St.Senan's GAA. Kilmacow also have a Camogie club ranging from Under-8s to Juniors, they are amalgamated with Slieverue at Intermediate and Under-22 level and are named St.Claires Camogie club. In the early days of Kilkenny GAA, senior winning club teams represented the county team in the All-Ireland Senior Championships. In 1888, Kilmacow were the county champions and went on to represent Kilkenny in the All-Ireland championship 1888, they won the Leinster senior football championship beating Castlebridge of Wexford by 1-4 to 0-2 on the 23rd September 1888 in New Ross. Leinster Under-21 Hurling Championship
The Leinster GAA Hurling All-Ireland Under-20 Championship known simply as the Leinster Under-20 Championship, is an annual inter-county hurling competition organised by the Leinster Council of the Gaelic Athletic Association (GAA). It is the highest inter-county hurling competition for male players between the ages of 17 and 20 in the province of Leinster. The 2009 All-Ireland Under-21 Hurling Championship was the 46th staging of the All-Ireland Under-21 Hurling Championship since its establishment by the Gaelic Athletic Association in 1964. The championship began on 20 May 2009 and ended on 13 September 2009. Kilkenny entered the championship as the defending champions. The 2008 All-Ireland Minor Hurling Championship was the 78th staging of the All-Ireland Minor Hurling Championship since its establishment by the Gaelic Athletic Association in 1928. The championship began on 29 March 2008 and ended on 7 September 2008. Tipperary entered the championship as the defending champions in search of a third successive title, however, they were beaten by Kilkenny in the All-Ireland semi-final. On 7 September 2008 Kilkenny won the championship following a 3-6 to 0-13 defeat of Galway in a replay of the All-Ireland final. The All-Ireland Junior Club Hurling Championship is an annual inter-county club hurling competition organised by the Gaelic Athletic Association (GAA) since 2002-03 for eligible hurling clubs. Clubs qualify for the competition based on their performance in their county club championships. The final, usually held in early February, serves as the culmination of a series of games played during the winter months, and the results determine which county's team receives the cup. The championship has always been played on a straight knockout basis whereby once a team loses they are eliminated from the series. In the present format, it begins in October with provincial championships held in Connacht, Leinster, Munster and Ulster, with the four respective champions contesting the subsequent All-Ireland series with the British champions. CLG Eoghan Rua Cúil Raithin is a Gaelic Athletic Association club based in Coleraine, County Londonderry, Northern Ireland. Despite some of the club's catchment area being in County Antrim, the club is a member of the Derry GAA. Eoghan Rua currently cater for Gaelic Football, Hurling, Camogie, and Ladies' Gaelic football and also compete in Scór and Scór n nÓg. The club's name commemorates Eoghan Rua Ó Néill.
