Eoin Liston
Eoin "Bomber" Liston (born 16 October 1957 in Ballybunion, County Kerry) is an Irish former sportsperson. He played Gaelic football with his local club Beale, his divisional side Shannon Rangers and at senior level for the Kerry county team between 1978 and 1993. Liston is regarded as one of the greatest full-forwards in the history of the game. Playing career Club Liston played his club football with his local club called Beale. He lined out in the county championship with Shannon Rangers. In 1977 he was a member of the side that defeated Feale Rangers to take the county senior championship title. It was Liston's only victory in the county championship. Minor and under-21 He never played minor football for Kerry. By the late 1970s Liston had joined the Kerry under-21 football team. Jack O'Shea
Jack O'Shea (born 19 November 1957 in Cahersiveen, County Kerry) is an Irish former sportsperson. He played Gaelic football at various times with his local clubs St Mary's in Kerry and Leixlip in Kildare. He was a member of the Kerry senior football team from 1976 until 1992. O'Shea is regarded as one of the greatest players of all-time. He is currently a media pundit with a column in the sports section of the Irish edition of ''The Sunday Times''. His son Aidan made his debut for the Kerry senior team in their successful 2009 National Football League campaign. Séamus Darby
Séamus Darby (born 1950, Rhode, County Offaly) is an Irish former Gaelic footballer. Darby is best remembered for scoring an unexpected late goal that deprived Kerry of a 5-in-a-row in the 1982 All-Ireland Senior Football Championship Final. In 2005, it was voted the third greatest moment in GAA history. Playing career During his footballing career, Darby won Leinster Senior Football Championship titles with Offaly in 1972, 1973 and 1982, playing in various forward positions. He won his second All-Ireland medal in 1972 when Offaly defeated Kerry in the final. He had been an unused substitute in the 1971 final v Galway, Offaly's first-ever win. John Egan (Gaelic Footballer)
John Egan (13 June 1952 – 8 April 2012) was an Irish sportsperson. Egan was born in Tahilla (near Sneem), County Kerry. He played Gaelic football with his local club Sneem, his divisional side South Kerry and at senior level with the Kerry county team between 1975 and 1984. Career A prolific corner forward on the Kerry county team of the late 1970s and 1980s, Egan made his senior inter-county debut against Tipperary in the 1975 All-Ireland Senior Football Championship, and instantly marked his arrival onto the senior stage with two goals in the first round opener. The 1975 success marked the beginning of a golden era for the county. Páidí Ó Sé
Páidí Ó Sé (, ; 16 May 1955 – 15 December 2012) was an Irish Gaelic football manager and player, whose league and championship career at senior level with the Kerry county team spanned fifteen seasons from 1974 to 1988. Ó Sé is widely regarded as one of the greatest defenders of his generation. Born in Ceann Trá, County Kerry, Ó Sé was named after the Kerry Gaelic footballer of the time; Paudie Sheehy. He was encouraged as a Gaelic footballer by his mother, who recognised his "raw talent" and nurtured it. John O'Keeffe (Gaelic Footballer)
John O'Keeffe (born 15 April 1951 in Tralee, County Kerry) is a former Irish people, Irish Gaelic footballer who played for the Austin Stacks club and at senior level for the Kerry county football team, Kerry county team between 1969 and 1984. He was a highly talented midfielder, and one of the most stylish and accomplished full-backs in Gaelic football history. Ger Power
Ger Power (born 27 June 1952) is an Irish former Gaelic footballer who played for the Austin Stacks club and at senior level for the Kerry county team between 1973 and 1988. Power captained Kerry to the All-Ireland title in 1980. Early life Ger Power was born in Annacotty, County Limerick in 1952. He was little over a week old when his father, Jackie Power, who worked for CIÉ, was transferred to Tralee in County Kerry. Jackie was a great hurler with Limerick in the 1930s and 1940s, winning three All-Ireland medals in 1934, 1936 and 1940. Charlie Nelligan
Charlie Nelligan (born 1957 in Castleisland, County Kerry) is an Irish former sportsperson. He played Gaelic football with his local club Castleisland Desmonds and at senior level for the Kerry county team between 1974 and 1991. He also played association football with Home Farm in Dublin and with the Irish amateur team. Playing career Club Nelligan played for his local Castleisland Desmonds club.
