Enzweihingen is a village, part of the town of Vaihingen an der Enz, Germany. It has a population of 3,951 people (2021). Strudelbach
Strudelbach is a river of Baden-Württemberg, Germany. Geography The source of the river is in the grounds of Weissach in Böblingen and flows in a narrow, northeasterly direction. It can reach a depth of 100m into the landscape Strudelbachtal. Between Weissach and Eberdingen, it crosses the border to the district of Ludwigsburg. After 15 km, it flows into the River Enz in Enzweihingen. In its course, it passes through the villages of Strudelbachhalle, Weissach, Eberdingen, Riet and Enzweihingen. It forms a natural border between Strohgäu and Heckengäu. History The documented history of Strudelback extends into the 4th Millennium BC and before. It was used as a transport stream and the water was used in mills and as an energy source. At least 10 mills have existed on the river, and at least two companies have continued to use its hydropower. Konstantin Freiherr Von Neurath
Konstantin Hermann Karl Freiherr von Neurath (2 February 1873 – 14 August 1956) was a German diplomat and Nazi war criminal who served as Foreign Minister of Germany between 1932 and 1938. Born to a Swabian noble family, Neurath began his diplomatic career in 1901. He fought in World War I and was awarded the Iron Cross for his service. After the war, Neurath served as minister to Denmark, ambassador to Italy and ambassador to Britain. In 1932, he was appointed Foreign Minister by Chancellor Franz von Papen, and he continued to hold the post under Adolf Hitler. In the early years of the Nazi regime, Neurath was regarded as playing a key role in Hitler's foreign policy pursuits in undermining the Treaty of Versailles and in territorial expansion in the prelude to World War II. However, he was often averse to Hitler's aims for tactical, not necessarily ideological, reasons. Heckengäu
The Heckengäu is a part of the Gäu, a region in the counties of Böblingen, Calw, Ludwigsburg and Enzkreis in the German state of Baden-Württemberg. Part of the landscape in the county of Calw is called Schlehengäu. Hence it is also called the Hecken- und Schlehengäu. Location The Heckengäu lies west of the state capital of Stuttgart. It forms an elongated strip of land, over 50 km long, running from Vaihingen an der Enz in the north to Haiterbach in the south, and covers parts of the counties of Böblingen, Calw, Ludwigsburg and the Enzkreis. In the west it borders on the Northern Black Forest and, in the east, on the regions of the Korngäu, Strohgäu and Schönbuch. Together with the Korngäu, Strohgäu and Zabergäu it makes up the Baden-Württemberg Gäu. Karl Blessing
Karl Blessing (5 February 1900 – 25 April 1971) was a German banker. He was President of the Deutsche Bundesbank from 1958 to 1969. Early life He was born in Württemberg, joined the Reichsbank in 1920 and graduated in Business Administration in 1925. Pre World War Two In 1929 he became an assistant to then Reichsbank president Hjalmar Schacht and in 1934 he was seconded to the Reich Ministry of Economics. He became a member of the executive board of the Reichsbank in 1937 but was dismissed in February 1939 along with other board members for criticizing Nazi economic policy. He joined the Nazi Party and after the 1938 Anschluss he was given the job of absorbing the Austrian National Bank. Blessing moved in the highest circles of the Third Reich. Vaihingen An Der Enz
Vaihingen an der Enz is a town located between Stuttgart and Karlsruhe, in southern Germany, on the western periphery of the Stuttgart Region. Vaihingen is situated on the river Enz, and has a population of around 30,000. The former district-capital is now part of the district of Ludwigsburg in the ''Land'' (state) of Baden-Württemberg. It is 25 km northwest of Stuttgart, and 15 km west of Ludwigsburg. Not to be confused with Vaihingen, a district of Stuttgart. Location Vaihingen lies at an altitude of 200 to 450 metres at the end of the Strohgäus, on the western edge of the Neckarbecken in a valley widening of the Enz.
