Enzo Bearzot Award
The Enzo Bearzot Award ( it, Premio Nazionale Enzo Bearzot) is a recognition given to Italian football managers annually. Established in 2011 and awarded by a jury composed of representatives of major Italian sports newspapers, the prize is sponsored by the Sporting Union of the Christian Associations of Italian Workers and the Italian Football Federation. History The award was created in honour of the 1982 FIFA World Cup winning coach Enzo Bearzot of the Italian national team. He holds the record for most appearances on the bench of the Italian national team at 104 times from 27 September 1975 to 18 June 1986. He died on 21 December 2010 in Milan at the age of 83, exactly 42 years after Vittorio Pozzo. The Enzo Bearzot Award is given each year by the president of the Italian Football Federation, at the hall of honor of the Italian National Olympic Committee. Football Club Shakhtar Donetsk ( uk, Футбольний клуб «Шахтар» Донецьк , short nickname "miners") is a Ukrainian professional football club from the city of Donetsk. Roberto De Zerbi (; born 6 June 1979) is an Italian professional football manager and former player who is the head coach of club Brighton & Hove Albion. Playing career De Zerbi started his professional career at AC Milan. He spent four seasons on loan to lower divisions clubs (Serie B to Serie C2). The COVID-19 pandemic in Italy is part of the ongoing pandemic of coronavirus disease 2019 () caused by severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (). The virus was first confirmed to have spread to Italy on 31 January 2020, when two Chinese tourists in Rome tested positive for the virus. One week later an Italian man repatriated to Italy from the city of Wuhan, China, was hospitalized and confirmed as the third case in Italy. Clusters of cases were later detected in Lombardy and Veneto on 21 February, with the first deaths on 22 February. By the beginning of March, the virus had spread to all regions of Italy. Roberto Mancini (; born 27 November 1964) is an Italian football manager and former player. He is currently the manager of the Italy national team. As a player, Mancini operated as a deep-lying forward, and was best known for his time at Sampdoria, where he played more than 550 matches, and helped the team win the Serie A league title, four Coppa Italia titles, and the European Cup Winners' Cup.
