Envy On The Coast (album)
Envy on the Coast are a post-hardcore band from Long Island, New York. They released their second full length, ''Lowcountry'', in March 2010. History 2003–2005: Formation The members of Envy on the Coast began playing together in 2003, though not under that name. Initially, Ryan Hunter replaced Brian Byrne after Brian left New York to study at Berklee College of Music. In 2005, the band recruited drummer Dan Gluszak, and played their first official show in July 2005. 2006-2008: Self-titled EP and Lucy Gray The band caught the ear of producer Bryan Russell, who recorded a five-song, self-titled EP with Envy on the Coast, which was officially released on September 19, 2006, on Photo Finish Records. Envy on the Coast spent 2006 supporting their EP on tour with Saosin, 30 Seconds to Mars, and Angels and Airwaves, before retreating to Windham, NY to begin writing their first full-length record. ''Lucy Gray'' is the debut full-length album from American post-hardcore band, Envy on the Coast. The album was released under Matt Galle's Photo Finish Records on August 7, 2007. The album's first single, "Sugar Skulls", is currently on the iTunes Music store. "Mirrors" has also been released as the second single. The album features guest vocals from members of As Tall As Lions and Circa Survive. Reception Critics were generally positive towards ''Lucy Gray''. Ultimate Guitar claimed the album "rarely repeats itself and entertains with the vocalists varying skills and the poetic lyrics". The album was one of The High Court drummer Denny Carvell's top five favorite albums of 2007. A common point was the group's differentiation from similar artists. The Receiving End of Sirens was an American rock band from Belchertown, Massachusetts, United States. Formed in 2003, the band broke up in 2008 then briefly reunited in 2010. On February 18, 2020, the band announced a brief reunion tour. Overview The band played on the 2005 Warped Tour and has toured with such acts as Gatsbys American Dream, A Wilhelm Scream, Thirty Seconds to Mars, Funeral for a Friend, Saves the Day, Senses Fail, Thrice, and New Found Glory. The band's first headlining tour, "The New Hope Tour," began on March 31, 2006. From First to Last is an American post-hardcore band based in the Los Angeles Area and Tampa, Florida. Formed by Matt Good, Scott Oord, and Parker Nelms in November 1999, the current line-up consists of Matt Good (lead guitar, vocals), Sonny Moore (lead vocals), Travis Richter (rhythm guitar, unclean vocals), and Derek Bloom (drums). The band released their first EP titled ''Aesthetic'' in 2003 which they recorded with founding member and vocalist Phillip Reardon who left the band in 2004 due to personal and creative differences.
