Enterprise is an Unincorporated towns in Nevada, unincorporated town in the Las Vegas Valley in Clark County, Nevada, United States. The population was 221,831 at the 2020 United States Census, 2020 U.S. Census, up from 14,676 at the United States Census, 2000, 2000 census. It was founded on December 17, 1996. Like other unincorporated towns in the Las Vegas Valley, it uses Las Vegas ZIP codes for addresses within its boundaries. History The first inhabitants were the Southern Paiute, Paiute Indians, who were spread across the Las Vegas Valley. In 1905, the Union Pacific Railroad, railroad town of Arden, Nevada, Arden was formed for miners who worked at the nearby gypsum mines just west of the area. The area was part of Lincoln County, Nevada, Lincoln County until 1909, when Clark County, Nevada, Clark County was split off from Lincoln County. Nevada state law allows for governance of unincorporated towns under two different systems. State Route 562 (SR 562) is an east–west highway in the Las Vegas Valley that comprises a portion of Sunset Road. Route description SR 562 begins at the intersection of Sunset Road and Las Vegas Boulevard (former SR 604/ US 91/ US 466). Decatur Boulevard is a major north–south section line arterial in the Las Vegas metropolitan area located on the west side of the city. Route Decatur Boulevard is situated in the west of Las Vegas and runs for roughly 25 miles along a north–south axis. United Air Lines Flight 736 was a scheduled transcontinental passenger service flown daily by United Airlines between Los Angeles and New York City. On April21, 1958, the airliner assigned to the flight, a Douglas DC-7 with 47 on board, was flying over Clark County, Nevada in clear weather when it was involved in a daytime with a United States Air Force fighter jet crewed by two pilots. Southern Paiute
The Southern Paiute people are a tribe of Native Americans who have lived in the Colorado River basin of southern Nevada, northern Arizona, and southern Utah. Bands of Southern Paiute live in scattered locations throughout this territory and have been granted federal recognition on several reservations.
