''Ennamma Kannu'' is a 2000 Indian Tamil-language drama film, directed by Sakthi Chidambaram, starring Sathyaraj, Devayani, Ranjith and Vadivelu. The film's musical score was by Deva and was released in 2000. The name of the film was inspired by the song of the same name from ''Mr. Bharath'', which also starred Sathyaraj. The film was remade in Telugu as ''Ramma Chilakamma'' in 2001. Plot Kasi (Sathyaraj) is a womanizer leading a carefree life with his friend Chellappa (Vadivelu). Kasi meets Gayathri (Devayani) and mistakes her as a call girl but later realizes her true identity. This creates a bad impression in Gayathri for Kasi. Barath Kalyan is a rich man who falls in love with Gayathri and proposes to marry her. But Gayathri loves Kasi's friend Vishwa (Ranjith). Vishwa is employed with a rich businessman ( Devan). Sakthi Chidambaram
Sakthi N Chidambaram (born Dinakar), is an Indian film director, who directs Tamil films. Career His real name is C. Dhinakaran. He first wrote the dialogues for the films ''Kottai Vaasal'' (1992), ''Veettai Paaru Naattai Paaru'' (1994), ''Uzhiyan'' (1994) and ''Pathavi Pramanam'' (1994). Chidambaram made his directorial debut in 1997 with '' Samrat'', starring Ramki, a remake of Hindi film ''Baazigar''. In 1998, he directed the film '' Vettu Onnu Thundu Rendu'', starring Mansoor Ali Khan in the lead role. Both films were failures. After a gap, he changed his name and directed ''Ennamma Kannu'' (2000) with Sathyaraj. The film received mixed reviews and did well. The success of the film prompted director and actor to reunite to make ''Mr. Narathar'' with Abbas, Mumtaj and Divyaa Unni also joining the cast. Anuradha Sriram (born 9 July 1970) is an Indian carnatic and playback singer and child actress who hails from the Indian state of Tamil Nadu. She has sung more than 700 songs in Tamil, Telugu, Sinhala, Malayalam, Kannada, Bengali and Hindi films. Harini (singer)
Harini (born 30 April 1979) is an Indian film playback singer and classical singer who sings in Tamil, Hindi, Telugu and Kannada films, working with many leading film composers. She is married to another playback singer, Tippu. Harini learnt Carnatic music from Gowri and Radha Viswanathan from the age of four. In her later years, she learned from Sudha Raghunathan and currently from Suguna Purushotthaman. She used to participate in school competitions and in one such competition which she won, A. R. Rahman who distributed the prizes invited the winners to his studio to record their voices. Ganga Sittrarasu is an Indian playback singer who has worked in the Indian film industry. Ganga worked extensively with A. R. Theni Kunjarammal (died 18 April 2008) was an Indian actress and playback singer who has worked in the Tamil film industry. As a playback singer, she has worked extensively with A. R. Rahman during the late 1990s and early 2000s for folk songs, while also regularly collaborating with Harris Jayaraj.
