English Cricket Team In Ireland In 2019
The England cricket team toured Ireland in May 2019 to play a one-off One Day International (ODI) match. The match took place ahead of Ireland's visit to England in July 2019, to play a one-off four-day Test match. In September 2018, The Village in Malahide was named as the venue for the match. The ODI fixture was part of England's preparation for the 2019 Cricket World Cup. England won the one-off ODI match by four wickets. In addition to the provisional World Cup squad, Jofra Archer and Chris Jordan were named in England's squads for this match and the subsequent series against Pakistan, and were in contention for a place in the World Cup side depending on their performances. William Porterfield
William Thomas Stuart Porterfield (born 6 September 1984) is an Irish former cricketer and a former captain of the Ireland cricket team. He played first-class cricket for Gloucestershire and Warwickshire. A left-handed batsman, he played for Ireland from 2006 to 2022, and has captained Ireland at all levels from Under-13 and is considered one of the greatest Irish cricketers of all time. Gary Craig Wilson (born 5 February 1986) is a former Irish cricketer, who is a wicket-keeper and right-handed batsman. The wicket-keeper in the sport of cricket is the player on the fielding side who stands behind the wicket or stumps being watchful of the batsman and ready to take a catch, stump the batsman out and run out a batsman when occasion arises. Boyd Rankin
William Boyd Rankin (born 5 July 1984) is a Northern Irish former cricketer who played international cricket for Ireland, and briefly also played for England. He is a right-arm medium-fast bowler.
