English Football League Managers
There are 92 association football teams in the top four divisions of English football, all of which have a manager, sometimes given the alternative title of head coach, or the role is currently vacated. The Premier League and the English Football League (EFL) are the only fully professional football leagues in England. The Premier League is the top tier, and consists of 20 clubs at the top of the English football league system, while the remaining 72 clubs are split into the three divisions of the EFL: the Championship, League One and League Two. A 2020 study by broadcaster Sky Sports showed the average reign for departing managers in the 2019–20 season was an all-time low of 423 days. John Coleman (born 12 October 1962) is an English football manager and former player. He is the manager of League One side Accrington Stanley. Playing career Coleman had a long playing career, mainly in non-league football for Kirkby Town, Burscough, Marine, Southport, Runcorn F.C. Halton, Macclesfield Town, Morecambe, Lancaster City and Ashton United. He also had a short spell in Wales with Rhyl. He was one of the most prolific non-league goalscorers in history, with over 500 goals to his name in a career spanning almost two decades. Kieran McKenna (born 14 May 1986) is a Northern Irish professional football manager and former player, who is currently the manager of EFL League One side Ipswich Town. McKenna began his footballing career as a youth team player at Northern Irish sides Enniskillen Town United and Ballinamallard United. He joined Tottenham Hotspur as a youth player in 2002 after signing a scholarship contract. In 2009, at the age of 22, McKenna was forced to retire from playing as a result of a hip injury; resulting in McKenna failing to make a full senior team appearance for Tottenham. Jürgen Norbert Klopp (; born 16 June 1967) is a German professional football manager and former player who is the manager of club Liverpool. He is widely regarded as one of the best managers in the world. Klopp spent most of his playing career at Mainz 05. He was initially deployed as a striker, but was later moved to defence.
