Engineer (film)
''Engineer'' is a shelved Indian Tamil-language film directed by Gandhi Krishna and written by Sujatha originally slated to be released in 1999. Based on the true incidents revolving around the Sardar Sarovar Dam project, the film would had starred Arvind Swamy and Madhuri Dixit, with music composed by A.R. Rahman and cinematography and editing being handled by Jeeva and K. Thanigachalam respectively. It was originally filmed in Tamil with planned versions in Telugu and Hindi. The film was shelved after 80 percent of shooting was completed. Despite reports of a revival in 2004 with a different cast and producer, this has proved to be untrue. Plot The original film was based on a dam being built across a village. The story of the film is set in a village that faces the threat of perishing if the dam is constructed. Gandhi Krishna
Gandhi Krishna is an Indian film director who has worked on Tamil films. After beginning his career as an assistant to Shankar, he has made commercially and critically successful films. Career After apprenticing under Shankar in ''Indian'' (1996), Gandhi Krishna approached writer Sujatha to allow him to adapt his novel ''Pirivom Sandhipom'' into a screenplay. This is a list of abandoned and unfinished films. Films may not be completed for several reasons, with some being shelved during different stages of the production. Some films have been shut down days into production. Other unfinished films have been shot in their entirety but have not completed post-production where the film is edited and sound and score added. This is different from unreleased films which are finished but have not yet been released and shown in theatres or released on DVD. In some instances these films cannot be shown due to legal reasons. Withdrawn films are similar except they did have brief showings but cannot be shown again, also usually for legal reasons. Azhagam Perumal is an Indian film director and actor. Career Azhagam Perumal hails from the village of Kulasekharapuram in Kanyakumari District, Tamil Nadu. ''Sasanam'' () is a 2006 Indian Tamil-language film directed by Mahendran. 3D Film
3D films are motion pictures made to give an illusion of three-dimensional solidity, usually with the help of special glasses worn by viewers. They have existed in some form since 1915, but had been largely relegated to a niche in the motion picture industry because of the costly hardware and processes required to produce and display a 3D film, and the lack of a standardized format for all segments of the entertainment business. Bala Singh
Bala Singh (7 May 195227 November 2019) was an Indian actor who appeared in Tamil language films. After making his debut in Nassar's '' Avatharam'' (1995), he appeared as the antagonist in over a hundred films. Early life and career Bala Singh was born in Kaliyakkavilai, near Marthandam in Kanyakumari District. Bala Singh initially began his career featuring in stage plays and trained with the National School of Drama, before being handed his first film role in Nassar's '' Avatharam'' (1995).
