Engine Company No. 28
Engine Company No. 28 is a former Los Angeles Fire Department fire station on Figueroa Street in Downtown Los Angeles. Built in 1912 at a cost of , the structure served as an operating fire station until it was closed in 1967. One of the first reinforced concrete fire stations in the city, it is a Class A fire-proof structure built of brick, hollow tile and concrete. In 1979, the building was listed in the National Register of Historic Places. In the late 1980s, it was renovated as a restaurant, "Engine Company No. 28.", that served food based on recipes from American fire houses. The building was featured as an operating fire station in Los Angeles in the 2011 video game ''L.A. Noire''. Since 2007, the building has housed the law firm Geragos & Geragos, and is owned by Mark Geragos. Figueroa Street
Figueroa Street is a major north-south street in Los Angeles County, California, spanning from the Los Angeles neighborhood of Wilmington north to Eagle Rock. A short, unconnected continuation of Figueroa Street runs just south of Marengo Drive in Glendale to Chevy Chase Drive in La Cañada Flintridge. Mark Geragos
Mark John Geragos (born October 5, 1957) is an American criminal defense lawyer and the managing partner of Geragos & Geragos, in Los Angeles. Early life and education Geragos was born in Los Angeles, California, where he attended Flintridge Preparatory School in La Cañada, graduating with honors. He earned his bachelor's degree from Haverford College, in 1979, double-majoring in anthropology and sociology, then his Juris Doctor (J.D.) from Loyola Law School at the Loyola Marymount University in 1982.
