Engin Atsür
Engin Atsür (born April 2, 1984) is a Turkish professional basketball player for Orlandina Basket of the Lega Basket Serie A (LBA). Standing at , he plays the point guard position. Atsür played college basketball at the North Carolina State University from 2003 to 2007. He has also German citizenship by his mother. Early years Atsür attended Saint-Benoit French High School in Istanbul. He started playing basketball in the youth teams of Efes Pilsen S.K. After one year in the Turkish Second League, Atsür moved to Raleigh, North Carolina, U.S. to study business administration at NC State on an athletic scholarship and he graduated in 2007. Lega Basket Serie A
The Lega Basket Serie A (LBA) is a professional men's club basketball league that has been organised in Italy since 1920. Serie A is organised by Lega Basket, which is regulated by the Italian Basketball Federation (FIP). It is the highest-tier level of the Italian league system. The LBA plays under FIBA rules and currently consists of 16 teams, with the lowest-placed team relegated to the Serie A2 and replaced by the winner of the play-offs of that tier. 2006 FIBA World Championship
The 2006 FIBA World Championship was the 15th FIBA World Championship, the international basketball world championship for men's national teams. The tournament was hosted by Japan and held from 19 August to 3 September 2006. It was co-organised by the International Basketball Federation (FIBA), Japan Basketball Association (JABBA) and the 2006 Organising Committee. For the first time since 1986, the World Championship was contested by 24 nations, eight more than in 2002. As a result, group rounds were conducted in four cities, with the knockout rounds being hosted by Saitama City. Spain won the tournament by beating Greece 70–47 in the championship final.
