Engifest
Engifest is the annual cultural festival of Delhi Technological University (formerly Delhi College of Engineering). Usually held in the month of February, it is a three-day-long event. Started in 1974 by a group of enthusiastic students, it has attracted considerable media attention and numerous sponsors over time. Engifest attracts an attendance of more than 1,50,000 people from across the country. Students from more than 100 colleges participate in activities related to social problems, dance, music, quizzes, and several others. Introduction Engifest is one of the largest college cultural festivals of the country. It is a student-run non-profit organization which caters primarily to youth and its success. Engifest includes a variety of events such as car and bike show, drag racing, cultural performances, live wire-star night, rock shows, plays on social problems, dances, and others. Delhi Technological University
Delhi Technological University (DTU), formerly known as the Delhi College of Engineering (DCE) is a state university in Rohini, Delhi, India. It was established in 1941 as Delhi Polytechnic. In 1952, it started giving degrees after being affiliated with the University of Delhi. The institute has been under the Government of Delhi since 1963 and was affiliated with the University of Delhi from 1952 to 2009. In 2009, the college was given university status, thus changing its name to Delhi Technological University. Amit Trivedi (born 8 April 1979) is an Indian music director, singer and a lyricist who works primarily in Hindi films. After working as a theatre and jingle composer and composing for non-film albums, he debuted as a film composer in the 2008 Hindi film '' Aamir'', he gained prominence for his work in the Hindi film '' Dev.D'' (2009). Early life Trivedi was born in Bandra, Mumbai, India to a traditional Gujarati family. Growing up, his only connect with music was devotional songs and Gujarati folk. His native city is Ahmedabad, Gujarat. Career In his younger days, an electronic musical instrument fascinated Trivedi and he was slowly drawn towards music, mainly influenced by classical music. ''Hindustan Times'' is an Indian English-language daily newspaper based in Delhi. It is the flagship publication of HT Media, an entity controlled by the KK Birla family, and is owned by Shobhana Bhartia. Manjeet Singh Ral ( Punjabi: ਮਨਜੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਰਾਲ, born 24 January 1975), better known by his stage-name Manj Musik, is a British Indian composer, singer and Filmi scorer. He was one of the music composer for the bhangra music group RDB, which was formed with his two brothers Surjeet Singh (SurjRDB) and Kuldeep Ral in 2000. Career Manj Musik started his musical journey with RDB group singing at their local gurudwara. After the death of the older brother Kuljeet Ral, Manj Musik decided to leave RDB. Beginning his solo career in 2014, At that same year he was awarded "Best Urban Single" at the Brit Asia TV Music Awards for "Swag Mera Desi" by himself and Raftaar.
