Ene Ergma
Ene Ergma (born 29 February 1944, in Rakvere) is an Estonian politician, a member of the Riigikogu (Estonian parliament), and scientist. She was a member of the political party Union of Pro Patria and Res Publica and, before the two parties merged, a member of Res Publica Party. On 1 June 2016, Ergma announced her resignation from the party, because the party had lost its identity and turned populist. Education and scientific career Ergma received her Diploma ''cum laude'' (BSc/MSc equivalent) in astronomy and PhD in physics and mathematics from Lomonosov Moscow State University, and a DSc degree from Institute of Space Research, Moscow. Before entering politics she worked as a professor of Astronomy at University of Tartu, Estonia (since 1988). In 1994, she was elected to the Estonian Academy of Sciences. Ene Järvis (born 26 October 1947) is an Estonian stage, film, radio, and television actress. Early life and education Ene Järvis was born in Kiidjärve, Põlva County to parents Paul and Amanda Elfriede Järvis. She was the second to youngest of five siblings; two older sisters and an older brother named Eimar almost fourteen years her senior, and a younger sister. She attended schools in Põlva, graduating from Põlva Secondary School in 1966 (now, Põlva Gymnasium). Following graduation, she enrolled at the Tallinn State Conservatory in Tallinn (now, the Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre), graduating from the institution's performing arts department in 1970. Ene Mihkelson
Ene Mihkelson (21 October 1944 in Tammeküla, Imavere Parish, Viljandi County – 20 September 2017 in Tartu) was an Estonian writer. She was a recipient of the Herder Prize and the Baltic Assembly Prize for Literature. Education Mihkelson studied literature after completing her secondary education. She worked as a teacher and then as a researcher for the Estonian Literary Museum. Literature Mihkelson wrote throughout her life. She published her first literary piece in 1967. However, her first collection of poems did not appear until 1978. Her father opposed the Soviet forces in Estonia in the middle of the 20th century. The authorities, therefore, did not approve of her. Since the breakup of the Soviet Union, Mihkelson has published ten poetry anthologies. Her poetry lacks meter, rhythm and rhyme, but contains surprising inversions. It is known for its intensity, allegorical content and metaphysical topics. Ana Derșidan-Ene-Pascu
Ana Derșidan-Ene-Pascu (22 September 1944 – 6 April 2022) was a Romanian fencer and sport leader. She won a bronze medal in the women's team foil events at the 1968 and 1972 Summer Olympics. Biography The daughter of the vice-president of the Romanian Table Tennis Federation, Pascu was fascinated as a child by elite sport. Her first sport idols were table tennis players Angelica Rozeanu and Sari Szasz, who were then at the peak of their careers. Gheorghe Ene (also known as Gheorghe Ene II; 27 January 1937 – 6 April 2009) was a Romanian football striker and coach. Club career Gheorghe Ene was born on 27 January 1937 in București, Romania and started to play football in 1952, aged 14 at junior level at Progresul ICAS București, afterwards in 1954 he started his senior career at Voința București, moving after one season at Progresul CPCS București.
