Endpoint (band)
__NOTOC__ Endpoint was a hardcore band from Louisville, Kentucky. Many of their songs dealt with social and political issues. The band was founded in 1988 as Deathwatch.Jeffrey Lee Puckett"Legendary Endpoint reunited to lend a hand" ''Louisville Courier Journal'', May 14, 2010. They released only one record, posthumously in 1991, which was a split 7-inch with another local band named Crain. In 1988, the band changed their name and the following year, with most of the original line-up, released a 17-song album on cassette through the Slamdek Record Company label. The album, called ''If The Spirits Are Willing'', was available in Louisville area stores in May 1989. However, following this release, the band got a new rhythm section and went on to write "In a Time of Hate," which was held up in production but was released in early 1991 on Conversion Records. Louisville, Kentucky
Louisville ( , , ) is the largest city in the Commonwealth of Kentucky and the 28th most-populous city in the United States. Scott Ritcher (born September 27, 1969) is an American magazine publisher, graphic designer, musician, and politician from Louisville, Kentucky. Magazine Ritcher is the publisher of ''K Composite Magazine'' and runs a small publishing house, also called K Composite. The magazine contains interviews of his friends and other people who are not famous. The publication has been featured in ''Rolling Stone'', the ''Chicago Tribune'', and on NPR's ''Talk of the Nation''. Music Ritcher is the former proprietor of the Slamdek Record Company, which released early recordings by influential punk and indie rock bands, including Endpoint, Rodan, Jawbox, and Ritcher's own bands, Sunspring and Metroschifter. The label's first release was a cassette tape by the synthesizer band Pink Aftershock in 1986, and its last was a Sunspring retrospective CD in 1995. The guitar is a fretted musical instrument that typically has six strings. Hardcore punk (also known as simply hardcore) is a punk rock music genre and subculture that originated in the late 1970s. It is generally faster, harder, and more aggressive than other forms of punk rock.
