"Endlessly" is a 1959 single by Brook Benton. The follow-up to his breakthrough hit " It's Just a Matter of Time", it reached number 12 on the ''Billboard'' Hot 100. Its B-side, "So Close", also reached the chart, peaking at number 38. "Endlessly" also was Benton's first chart success in the UK, where it reached #28. Benjamin Franklin Peay (September 19, 1931 – April 9, 1988), better known as Brook Benton, was an American singer and songwriter who was popular with rock and roll, rhythm and blues, and pop music audiences during the late 1950s and early 1960s, with hits such as " It's Just a Matter of Time" and " Endlessly", many of which he co-wrote. He made a comeback in 1970 with the ballad "Rainy Night in Georgia." Benton scored over 50 ''Billboard'' chart hits as an artist, and also wrote hits for other performers. The ''Billboard'' Hot 100 is the music industry standard record chart in the United States for songs, published weekly by '' Billboard'' magazine. Chart rankings are based on sales (physical and digital), radio play, and online streaming in the United States.
