Endebess is a constituency in Kenya. It is one of five constituencies in Trans-Nzoia County. It was established/created for the 2013 general election, and it was carved out of the larger Kwanza constituency. Constituencies of Kenya are used to elect members of the National Assembly, the lower chamber of the Kenyan Parliament. In accordance with article 89 of the 2010 Constitution of Kenya, there are 290 constituencies, based on a formula where these constituencies were to be delineated based on population numbers. United Republican Party (Kenya)
The United Republican Party (URP) was a political party in Kenya. History The party was launched by William Ruto, in conjunction with several Kenyan politicians allied to a faction of Orange Democratic Movement opposed to Raila Odinga, as their vehicle for the March 2013 general elections. The party's launch was announced after a week of meetings on 15 January 2012. In December, Ruto and the leaders of several other political parties signed a pre-election coalition deal, in which he became a running mate for Uhuru Kenyatta and URP received half the spoils of an election victory. The party subsequently joined the Jubilee Alliance, which nominated Kenyatta for the presidency. William Kipchirchir Samoei Arap Ruto (born 21 December 1966) is a Kenyan politician who is serving as the fifth and current president of Kenya since 13 September 2022. The Jubilee Party of Kenya was the ruling political party of the Republic of Kenya from 2016 until 13 September 2022. The party was founded on 8 September 2016, following the merger of 11 smaller parties. Uhuru Muigai Kenyatta (born 26 October 1961) is a Kenyan politician who served as the fourth president of Kenya from 2013 to 2022. Trans-Nzoia County
Trans-Nzoia County is a county in the former Rift Valley Province, Kenya, located between the Nzoia River and Mount Elgon, 380 km northwest of Nairobi. At its centre is the town of Kitale which is the capital and largest town. The county borders Bungoma to the west, Uasin Gishu and Kakamega to the south, Elgeyo-Marakwet to the east, West Pokot to the north and the republic of Uganda to the Northwest. Trans Nzoia covers an area of 2495.5 square kilometres. Historically the area has been inhabited by the sabaot people. 2013 Kenyan General Election
General elections were held in Kenya on 4 March 2013. Voters elected the President, members of the National Assembly and newly formed Senate.
