''End of Summer'' () is a 2017 Chinese film by first-time director Zhou Quan. It made its world premiere in the New Currents section of the 22nd Busan International Film Festival, winning the KNN Award. Plot Fifth-grader Gu Xiaoyang (Rong Zishan) loves soccer and wants to get onto the school's team but his teacher father Jianhua (Zhang Songwen) forbids him from playing believing study is more important. Zhou Quan
Zhou Quan (; born 16 Nov 1987) is a Chinese filmmaker. His directorial debut End of Summer (2017 film), End of Summer won KNN Award at 22nd Busan International Film Festival. Early life Zhou Quan was born and raised in Shaoxing, Zhejiang, Zhejiang Province, China. He moved to Melbourne, Australia in high school as an exchange student between Shaoxing No. 1 High School and Balwyn High School. After he graduated from RMIT University with a Bachelor of Communication (Media) in 2011, he enrolled in the American Film Institute and acquired his Master of Fine Arts in Directing in 2013. Rong Zishan
Rong Zishan is a Chinese actor and model, best known for his portrayal of Dollar Zhang in ''Mountains May Depart'' and Zhu Chaoyang in '' The Bad Kids''. Personal life Rong was born on February 3, 2006, in Mianyang, Sichuan Province, and grew up in Suzhou, Jiangsu Province. Career Early in the 2010s, Rong debuted in a KFC commercial. In 2014, Rong contested in a children's runway model show and was the winner of the Suzhou Division. Ku Pao-ming (; 8 April 1950 – 19 March 2022) was a Taiwanese actor and comedian. He appeared with the in ''Art'' (2003), alongside Chin Shih-chieh and Lee Li-chun, as well as ''The Apartment'' (2006). 22nd Busan International Film Festival
The 22nd Busan International Film Festival will be held from October 12 to October 21, 2017 at the Busan Cinema Center and hosted by Jang Dong-gun and Im Yoon-ah. A total of 300 films from 75 countries will be screened at the festival, including 100 world premieres and 29 international premieres. On October 15, 2017, President Moon made a surprise visit to the festival, promising noninterference and support for the festival. He also hopes BIFF will restore to its former glory and into a more prominent international film festival. A new Kim Jiseok Award was setup to commemorate the late Kim Jiseok, the Deputy Director and Program Director of Busan International Film Festival, who died in May 2017.
