''Encore Une Fois – The Greatest Hits'' is the first greatest hits album released by German dance act Sash! It was released on October 30, 2000, through the Multiply Records label. It includes the singles released from the previous three albums, extra album tracks, and a 17-minute 'megamix' of the singles mixed by Oliver Momm. The CD also includes a bonus disc of remixes of the tracks by various artists. The album reached number 33 on the UK Albums Chart, and number 62 in Germany. Sash!
Sash! (; stylised as SASH!) is a German DJ/production team, fronted by Sascha Lappessen (born 10 June 1970) who works in the recording studio with Ralf Kappmeier, Karl Xander, and Thomas "Alisson" Lüdke. They have sold over 22 million albums worldwide and earned more than 65 Gold and Platinum awards. In the UK, their first four hit singles incorporated vocals in different languages ( French, Spanish, English and Italian). Musical career 1995–1997: Formation and ''It's My Life – The Album'' Sascha Lappessen, Thomas "Alisson" Lüdke, and Ralf Kappmeier founded SASH! in 1995. It was released on 2 November 1998 through Club Tools and the Mighty label as the third single from their second studio album, ''Life Goes On (Sash! album), Life Goes On'' (1998). Multiply Records
Multiply Records was a subsidiary of Telstar Records, that launched in 1993 and went into liquidation in 2004. Its major signings included Sash!, Phats & Small and the Cheeky Girls. It was the brainchild of Mike Hall, who already worked for the parent company Telstar.Early successes included signing Bassment Jaxx's "Flylife", TJR feat Xavier's "Just Gets Better", one of the garage scene's foremost hits, as well as Lil Mo Yin Yang's "Reach", and Junior Vasquez's "If Madonna Calls". As a label they balanced credible releases with commercial hits, and enjoyed considerable success, as well as providing content for Telstar's huge compilation business.
