Enarotali Nature Reserve
Enarotali Nature Reserve is a protected area in Central Papua Province of Western (Indonesian) New Guinea. It has an area of 3000 km2. The reserve is in New Guinea's Central Highlands. The western portion of the reserve covers the eastern end of the Weyland Mountains, and it abuts Weyland Mountains Nature Reserve. The center of the reserve surrounds, but does not include, the Paniai Lakes. Central Papua
Central Papua, officially the Central Papua Province ( id, Provinsi Papua Tengah) is an Indonesian province located in the central region of Western New Guinea. It was formally established on 11 November 2022 from the former eight western regencies of the province of Papua. It covers an area of 66,130.49 km2 and had an estimated population of about 1,409,000 in mid 2021. It is bordered by the Indonesian provinces of West Papua to the west, the residual Papua to the north, and by Highland Papua and South Papua to the east. Western New Guinea, also known as Papua, Indonesian New Guinea, or Indonesian Papua, is the western half of the Melanesian island of New Guinea which is administered by Indonesia. The New Guinea Highlands, also known as the Central Range or Central Cordillera, is a long chain of mountain ranges on the island of New Guinea, including the island's tallest peak, Puncak Jaya , the highest mountain in Oceania. Central Range Montane Rain Forests
The Central Range montane rain forests is a tropical moist forest ecoregion on the island of New Guinea. The ecoregion covers the Central Range of the New Guinea Highlands, which extends along the spine of the island. The montane rain forests of the ecoregion are distinct from the surrounding lowland forests, and are home to many endemic plants and animals. Geography The ecoregion includes the montane rain forests of the Central Range, or Central Cordillera, between 1000 and 3000 metres elevation.
