Kovai Chezhiyan
Kovai Chezhiyan was an Indian senior leader of the Dravidian movement, leader of the Kongu vellala gounder community and film producer who worked in the 1950s up to late 1990s. He was also the vice-chairman of the Tamil Nadu State planning commission when MGR was the Chief minister. He had produced films with famous stars including MGR, Sivaji Ganesan, Gemini Ganesan, Sivakumar, Muthuraman, NTR, Jayalalitha, Vijaykanth, Rajesh khanna, Mammooty etc. Chezhiyan, originally from Tamil Nadu, has also produced Telugu and Hindi films also and was the first president of Tamil Film producers council. Pulavar Pulamaipithan (6 October 1935 – 8 September 2021) was an Indian scholar, poet and lyricist who got recognition through the song "Naan yaar nee yaar" which was featured in the Tamil film ''Kudiyirundha Koyil'' in 1968. Vasudevan (15 June 1944 – 20 February 2011), known as Malaysia Vasudevan, was a Malaysian-Indian playback singer and actor in Tamil cinema. Early life Malaysia Vasudevan's parents were from Palakkad. Chattu Nair of Ottappalam and Ammalu of Polpulli, along with their families migrated to British Malaya in search of a livelihood. After a few years, Chattu Nair married Ammalu in an arranged marriage. Vasudevan was born on 15 June 1944 as their eighth and youngest child.
