Empire Honorary Awards
Along with the annual Empire Awards that were presented by ''Empire'' magazine for best in acting, directing and film there have been honorary awards which weren't always presented on a consistent annual basis. As of the 19th Empire Awards three honorary awards are currently handed out: Empire Hero Award, Empire Inspiration Award and Icon Award. Empire Awards
The Empire Awards was an annual British awards ceremony honouring cinematic achievements in the local and global film industry. Winners were awarded the Empire Award statuette. The awards, first presented in 1996, were presented by the British film magazine ''Empire'' with the winners voted by the readers of the magazine. The 23rd Empire Awards was the final ceremony, honouring films in 2017, was held on 18 March 2018 in London, England. The awards were sponsored by Jameson Irish Whiskey from the 14th Empire Awards and were thenceforth officially called the Jameson Empire Awards. The official sponsor of the Awards changed to Rakuten TV for the 23rd Empire Awards. The Empire Awards ceremonies were discontinued after 2018. Harry Potter (film Series)
''Harry Potter'' is a film series based on the eponymous novels by J. K. Rowling. The series is produced and distributed by Warner Bros. Pictures and consists of eight fantasy films, beginning with ''Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone'' (2001) and culminating with ''Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 2'' (2011). Kevin Patrick Smith (born August 2, 1970) is an American filmmaker, actor, comedian, comic book writer, author, YouTuber, and podcaster. Roger William Corman (born April 5, 1926) is an American film director, producer, and actor. Michael Winterbottom (born 29 March 1961) is an English film director. He began his career working in British television before moving into features. The 7th Empire Awards ceremony, presented by the British film magazine ''Empire'', honored the best films of 2001 and took place on 5 February 2002 at The Dorchester Hotel in London, England. The 18th Empire Awards ceremony (officially known as the Jameson Empire Awards), presented by the British film magazine ''Empire'', honored the best films of 2012 and took place on 24 March 2013 at the Grosvenor House Hotel in London, England. Ray Winstone
Raymond Andrew Winstone (; born 19 February 1957) is an English television, stage and film actor with a career spanning five decades. Having worked with many prominent directors, including Martin Scorsese and Steven Spielberg, Winstone is perhaps best known for his "hard man" roles (usually delivered in his distinctive London accent).
