Emo Speedway Championships
The Emo Speedway is a racing facility, located in Emo, Ontario. It is operated by the Borderland Racing Association. It is one of three tracks under WISSOTA sanction in Ontario. In 2009, the track celebrated its 55th anniversary of the original opening. The Borderland Racing Association currently hosts three different classes and range from Street Stocks (Entry level), the WISSOTA Midwest Modifieds (Moderate Level), to WISSOTA Modifieds (Advanced Level). Street Stocks are "Stock Cars" as they have a full body and frame from passenger type automobiles seen on the street (Such as a 1974 Monte Carlo). Stock Car Racing
Stock car racing is a form of automobile racing run on oval tracks and road courses measuring approximately . It originally used production-model cars, hence the name "stock car", but is now run using cars specifically built for racing. Deer River is a city in Itasca County, Minnesota, United States. The population was 930 at the 2010 census. U.S. Highway 2 and Minnesota State Highways 6 and 46 are three of the main routes in the community. Bemidji ( ) is a city and the county seat of Beltrami County, in northern Minnesota, United States. The population was 14,574 at the 2020 census. Dryden, originally known as New Prospect, is the second-largest city in the Kenora District of Northwestern Ontario, Canada, located on Wabigoon Lake. Emo is a small rural township, located along the Rainy River near the southwestern corner of northern Ontario, Canada, on the U.S. border directly north of the state of Minnesota.
