Emmanuelle Rol
Emmanuelle Rol (born 6 August 1986) is a Swiss-born French former sailor, who specialized in the two-person dinghy (470) class. Together with her partner Anne-Sophie Thilo, she was named one of the country's top sailors in the double-handed dinghy for the 2008 Summer Olympics, finishing in a lowly seventeenth place. Outside her Olympic career, she collected a total of two medals (a gold and a silver) under each different banner at the European Championships (2008 and 2010). A member of her native Pully's local sailing club (french: Club Nautique de Pully), Rol trained most of her sporting career under the federation's head coach for 470, French-born Nicolas Novara. Rol competed for the Swiss sailing squad, as a skipper in the women's 470 class, at the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing. Pully
Pully () is a municipality in Switzerland in the canton of Vaud, located in the district of Lavaux-Oron. It is one of the eastern suburbs of the city of Lausanne, located on the shores of Lake Geneva (''Lac Léman'') and at the foot of the vineyards of Lavaux on the road to Vevey and Montreux. World Sailing (WS) is the world governing body for the sport of sailing recognized by the International Olympic Committee and the International Paralympic Committee (IPC). Hélène Defrance
Hélène Defrance (born 11 August 1986) is a French former sailor, who won a bronze medal in the women's 470 event at the 2016 Summer Olympics. She also won the 2010 470 European Championships race, and the 2016 470 World Championships. Defrance is a knight of the Ordre national du Mérite. Being a qualified nutritionist, she now works for French professional football club Lille OSC, within the High Performance structure. Career Defrance was a member of ASPTT Marseille. In 2010, Defrance and Emmanuelle Rol won the 470 European Championships, and the 2009–10 ISAF Sailing World Cup stage in Hyères, France. Defrance failed to qualify for the 2012 Summer Olympics in London.
