Emma Mason
Emma Mason (born 28 June 1986) is a retired Scottish badminton player. Career Mason, aged 10, started playing badminton in primary school as her mother had volunteered to run the after school club. She won the Scottish junior title in women's doubles in 2006. In 2008, she won Scottish National Championship with Imogen Bankier. She won the same title in 2010 (with Imogen Bankier) and 2011 (with Jillie Cooper) also. In 2008, she snapped her Achilles tendon in the match at Portuguese Open and returned only after an year. Her first match after rehabilitation was in Sudirman Cup 2009. She also represented her country in the 2010 Delhi Commonwealth games. Additionally, she also played for Scotland at the European and World championships. She shortly ended her playing career after that. Mason has 27 caps for her country and, in 2010, was elected by her fellow players to the World Badminton Federation's Athletes Commission. Mason was Vice-Chair from 2010 to 2012. Nina Vislova
Nina Gennadyevna Vislova (russian: Нина Геннадьевна Вислова; born 4 October 1986) is a badminton player from Russia. Along with her doubles partner Valeria Sorokina, Vislova is the first Russian Olympic medalist in badminton. Career Vislova won four medals at the European Junior Badminton Championships: two gold medals in women's doubles (2003 and 2005), a silver medal in mixed doubles (2003), and a bronze medal also in mixed doubles (2005). Nina also won at the 2006 U.S. Open Badminton Championships in the women's and mixed doubles event. Mariana Agathangelou (born 14 August 1988) is a British badminton player. She competed for England in the mixed team event at the 2010 Commonwealth Games where she won a bronze medal. Misaki Matsutomo
is a Japanese badminton player who is a doubles specialist. She won the gold medal at the 2016 Summer Olympic women's doubles alongside Ayaka Takahashi. Despite playing doubles, she was also a finalist in girls' singles at the 2010 BWF World Junior Championships in Mexico. Career overview In 2016, she won the women's doubles gold medal at the Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. She and her women's doubles partner Ayaka Takahashi were also honoured with the Female Player of the Year award. Ayaka Takahashi
is a retired Japanese badminton player who was affiliated with Unisys badminton team. She is an Olympic Games gold medalist, two-time Asian Champion, two-time Asian Games silver medalist, and World Championship bronze medalist. Playing for the Unisys team with her regular partner Misaki Matsutomo in the women's doubles, she won five National Championships titles. In the international event, Takahashi and Matsutomo were ranked world number ones in October 2014.
