Emma Catherwood
Emma Catherwood (born 7 December 1978) is a Welsh actress and former model best known for her role as Jo in ''My Kingdom'' and for her role in ''Holby City''. She studied the Meisner technique in London, and has degrees in English literature and Art History. Emma Catherwood began her career with Models 1, where she modelled for short time before quitting after a family crisis. Soon after, she made her first major television appearance in ''Little Bird'' for ITV, playing a downtrodden Mancunian mother of five. At the same time, she made her feature film debut in ''Large'' for FilmFour. This led to a role starring opposite Richard Harris in ''My Kingdom''. Harris has been quoted as saying "Emma is one of the best actresses I've worked with in my very long career". ''My Kingdom'' is based upon Shakespeare's play ''King Lear''. The Vice (TV Series)
''The Vice'' is an ITV police drama about the Metropolitan Police Vice Unit, which ran for five series of varying lengths between 1999 and 2003. The main cast included Ken Stott, Caroline Catz and David Harewood, as well as Rosie Marcel, Marc Warren and Tim Pigott-Smith. The show experimented with different formats, two series of two-part, one-hour episodes; two series of ninety-minute episodes, and then a final series of self-contained one-hour episodes. ''My Kingdom'' is a 2001 British crime film directed by Don Boyd and starring Richard Harris, Lynn Redgrave and Jimi Mistry. It premiered at the 2001 Toronto International Film Festival on the eve of 9/11 and like many films that year was consequently compromised commercially. It was subsequently previewed in Los Angeles to heighten nomination opportunities for the performance of Richard Harris later that year and was well reviewed by the ''Los Angeles Times'' and ''Variety''.
