Emma Broze
Emma Broze (born 20 August 1995) is a French professional golfer who plays on the U.S.-based Epson Tour where she won the 2021 Danielle Downey Credit Union Classic. As an amateur, she won the 2014 European Ladies' Team Championship. Amateur career Broze was born in Feurs and grew up in Nervieux in the department of Loire, France. She had a successful amateur career and won the 2011 Championnat de France Minimes Filles, and in 2013 she won the German International Ladies Amateur Championship, the Trophee des Regions, and the Championnat de France Cadets. She was also runner-up at the Coupe de France Dames. Broze qualified for the 2016 Ladies' British Open Amateur Championship at Dundonald Links in Scotland. Broze joined the French National Team in 2010 and represented her country in over 50 events. Feurs (; frp, Fuèrs) is a commune in the department of Loire, Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes, France. History Antiquity The city was founded by the Romans. The name Feurs is a contraction of ''Segusiavorum Forum''. With a forum the Gallo-Roman era, city was the capital of Ségusiaves as is indicated by Ptolemy and appears on the Tabula Peutingeriana. By extension, the city gave its name to Forez. Vestiges of the ancient Roman city are located by the current post office. 2018 Espirito Santo Trophy
The 2018 Espirito Santo Trophy took place 29 August – 1 September at Carton House Golf Club on its Montgomerie and O'Meara courses in Maynooth, County Kildare, Ireland. It was the 28th women's golf World Amateur Team Championship for the Espirito Santo Trophy. The tournament was a 72-hole stroke play team event. There were a record 57 team entries, each with two or three players. One nation, Lebanon, made its first appearance. Each team played two rounds at the Montgomerie Course and two rounds at the O'Meara Course in different orders. The top 27 teams on the final leaderboard, except Norway and France, all played the fourth round at the O'Meara Course. The best two scores for each round counted towards the team total. The United States team won the Trophy for their 14th title and first win in 20 years, beating team Japan by 10 strokes. Espirito Santo Trophy
The Espirito Santo Trophy (World Women's Amateur Team Championships) is a biennial world amateur team golf championship for women organised by the International Golf Federation. The inaugural event was held in 1964. It was instituted by the French Golf Federation in an agreement with the United States Golf Association. It was planned by Lally Segard, at the time known as Vicomtesse de Saint Sauveur, from France and Mrs. Henri Prunaret from America. Segard also asked her friends Ricardo and Silvia Espirito Santo, from Portugal, to donate a trophy for the event, which they did. They had originally bought the golden cup, which had belonged to Tsar Nicholas II of Russia, for an international Portuguese event that was not played anymore. 2016 European Ladies' Team Championship
The 2016 European Ladies' Team Championship took place 5–9 July at Oddur Golf Club in Garðabær, Iceland. It was the 33rd women's golf amateur European Ladies' Team Championship. Venue Oddur Golf Club was established in 1990 with a nine-hole course designed by Hannes Thorsteinsson, located in the municipality of Garðabær, 6 kilometres south of the city center of Reykjavik, Iceland. The European Ladies' Team Championship is a European amateur team golf championship for women organised by the European Golf Association. The inaugural event was held in 1959. It was played in odd-numbered years from 1959 to 2007 and has been played annually since 2008 (with the exception of 2012). Format Currently, the championship is contested by up to 20 teams, each of 6 players. The format consists of two rounds of strokeplay, out of which the five lowest scores from each team's six players will count each day. The total addition of the five lowest scores will constitute the team's score and determine the teams qualified for the last three rounds of matchplay.
