Emir of Qatar Cup ( ar, كأس أمير قطر), also known as the Emir Cup, but changed to Amir Cup starting in 2019, is an association football tournament played every season by 18 first and second division teams. The most successful is Al Sadd who won the tournament 18 times. Emir of Qatar Cup was played for the first time in 1972, and was won by Al Ahli. History Al Ahli SC won the first ever Emir of Qatar Cup, defeating Al-Rayyan SC 6-1 under the leadership of Sudanese coach Mohammed Kheiri. Till this day, it is the joint-largest scoreline ever recorded in an Emir Cup final. It was refereed by Ali al-Absi, while Abdullah Siddiqi scored the first ever goal in an Emir Cup final. Two years later, Al Ahli were denied another Emir Cup title in a tight match against Al-Sadd SC which Al Sadd won 4–3. Al-Duhail Sports Club ( ar, نادي الدحيل الرياضي), formerly Lekhwiya SC, is a Qatari sports club, best known for its football team, which plays in the Qatar Stars League. Al-Gharafa Sports Club ( ar, نادي الغرافة الرياضي) is a Qatari multisports club based in the Al Gharrafa district of Al Rayyan. It is best known for its football team, although it also has teams for other sports. It was established on 6 June 1979 as Al-Ittihad and later officially incorporated into the Qatar Football Association on 23 September of that same year. The club was officially renamed to its current form in 2004 to better represent the district of Al-Gharafa, of which the club belongs to. El-Jaish Sports Club ( ar, نادي الجيش الرياضي) was a Qatari multi-sports club from 2011 to 2017, based in the Al-Duhail area of Doha. The association football team played in the Qatar Stars League. The team won the Qatargas League prior to 2011, but were not eligible for promotion and as a result were not declared as the champions of the league. It was promoted to the first division, the Stars League, the first year after it was made eligible. Al-Sailiya Sports Club ( ar, نادي السيلية الرياضي) is a Qatari professional football club currently competing in the Qatar Stars League. They are based in Doha and play their home games at Ahmed bin Ali Stadium. History Al Sailiya were founded as ''Al Qadsiya'' on 10 October 1995.
