Emily Young FRBS (born 1951) is a sculptor, who has been called "Britain's greatest living stone sculptor". She was born in London into a family of artists, writers and politicians. She currently divides her time between studios in London and Italy. Biography Her mother was the writer and commentator Elizabeth Young, her father, Wayland Young, 2nd Baron Kennet, a politician, conservationist and writer. Emily Young's paternal grandparents were the politician and writer Hilton Young, 1st Baron Kennet and the sculptor Kathleen Scott, a colleague of Auguste Rodin and the widow of the polar explorer Robert Falcon Scott. Her uncle was the ornithologist, conservationist and painter, Sir Peter Scott, who founded the Wildfowl & Wetlands Trust. Emily Young (film Director)
Emily Young is a British film director and screenwriter who is currently also teaching screenwriting and directing at the London Film School. Early life Young was born in Islington, London, the daughter of Helen Young (née Mason) and Hugo Young. Both her parents were journalists and her mother was also a children's book author. Career After graduating from the Polish National Film School in Łódź, Young won the Cinefondation prize at the Cannes Film Festival for her graduation film, 'Second Hand'. Her first feature film, 'Kiss of Life' (2004) won a BAFTA award (the Carl Forman prize for best debut film). In 2009 Young directed ''Veronika Decides to Die'' in New York City. The film is based on the novel ''Veronika Decides to Die'' written by Paulo Coelho and stars Sarah Michelle Gellar, and David Thewlis. Emily Young (skier)
Emily Young (born 15 January 1991), also known as Emily Weekes, is a Canadian female Paralympic cross-country skier and biathlete. She has competed formerly as a wrestler and triathlete for Canada in international and national competitions. Early career Emily Weekes competed in 2009 Canada Summer Games and claimed a bronze medal in the wrestling event. She sustained a nerve damage from an injury in her right arm due to a wrestling training accident at the age of eighteen just after the conclusion of the 2009 Canada Summer Games. As a result of the accident, she had to withdraw from competing in wrestling and triathlon events. In fact, her Olympic dream as a wrestler spoilt due to the nerve damage. This is a list of characters in ''Stargate Universe'', an American-Canadian military science fiction serial drama which made its premiere on October 2, 2009, on the Syfy channel. Main characters Nicholas Rush Nicholas Rush (portrayed by Robert Carlyle) is an expert in Ancient technology. His research was hindered while he was married to Gloria Rush (Louise Lombard).
