Aimilios Veakis ( el, Αιμίλιος Βεάκης; December 13, 1884 – June 29, 1951) was a Greek actor. An active member of the National Liberation Front during the Axis occupation of Greece, he was persecuted for his leftist beliefs during the White Terror. Biography Aimilios Veakis was the grandson of the scholar and theatrical author Ioannis Venakis, but was orphaned at a very early age, and was raised by childless relatives. Over the objections of his guardians, in 1900, at the age of 16, he enrolled in the Royal Drama School. The school abruptly stopped functioning though, and Veakis enrolled in the School of Fine Arts, where he studied painting. Eventually, however, he broke off his studies and began working as an actor in Volos in the company of Evangelia Nika. His career was interrupted due to his drafting into the army during the Balkan Wars of 1912–13, where he received a field promotion to sergeant for valour. Emilios Hatjoullis
Emilios Hatjoullis (born 7 September 1939) is a British cartoonist and graphic designer. During the 1960s he was a designer at the Blackpool Pleasure Beach and at the Blackpool Illuminations. His works include the tableaux displays of nursery rhymes such as 'Hickory Dickory Dock' and 'Mary, Mary, Quite Contrary', which are still exhibited during the light festival in the autumn. At the Blackpool Pleasure Beach Emilios Hatjoullis helped with the design the psychedelic Candy House and the redesign of the Noah's Ark from its dated 1920s style. At the end of the 1960s Emilios Hatjoullis went to become creative director at Brunning's advertising agency in Liverpool. For the local Higsons brewery he created a series of characters called the 'Old Higsonians' named after Liverpool landmarks such as Albert Dock, Penny Lane, and Ann Field. Emilios Kyrou is a judge of the Court of Appeal, Supreme Court of Victoria, in the Australian state of Victoria. Justice Kyrou was previously a justice in the Trial Division. Until being appointed, Kyrou was a partner at Mallesons Stephen Jaques (now King & Wood Mallesons), a national firm of solicitors, where he practised mainly in insurance law, government law and dispute resolution. His appointment was announced by the Victorian Attorney General, the Hon. Rob Hulls, on 5 May 2008 and became effective on 13 May 2008. Emilios Panayiotou ( el, Αιμίλιος Παναγιώτου; born 22 September 1992 in Limassol, Cyprus) is a Cypriot footballer who plays as a midfielder for AEZ Zakakiou in the Cypriot Second Division. Career He made his first football steps at the age of six at Polemidia and a year later he joined AEL Limassol academies. After a test in PSV Eindhoven, Emilios joined the Academies of Nikodimos Papavasiliou. In 2007, after having passed through tests in Manchester City, Southampton and AJ Auxerre, he joined the academies of Sochaux. Two years later, he returned to Cyprus and signed a contract with APOEL. Emilios Riadis
Emilios Riadis (original name Emilios Khu; el, Αιμίλιος Κου (Κούης) or Ριάδης; 13 May 1880 – 17 July 1935) was a Greek composer. Biography Riadis was born in Thessaloniki, Ottoman Empire, now in Greece. He had his first music lesson in harmony and piano with a friend of Wagner's, Dimitrios Lalas. He also studied at the Munich Music Academy from 1908–1910. He studied form, instrumental and fugue with Walburnn, piano with Mayer-Schrey and choral singing with Becht and Stitch. After finishing at the academy he moved to Paris and studied under Charpentier and Ravel (1910–1915). This was when he started appearing as the composer Riadis because he took the ending of his mother's maiden name, which was Elefteriadis. He was temporarily arrested at the beginning of World War I and resulted to his permanent move back to Thessaloniki. In 1915 he became a professor at the State Conservatory of Salonica.
