Emilie Amundson
Emilie A. Amundson (born 1980) is an American educator and government administrator. She is the current secretary of the Wisconsin Department of Children and Families in the cabinet of Governor Tony Evers. She previously served as Evers' chief of staff when he was the state's Superintendent of Public Instruction. Biography Amundson was born in Madison, Wisconsin, and received her undergraduate degree from the University of Wisconsin–Madison. She went on to earn her master's in education policy at Harvard Graduate School of Education. She began her career as an ESL teacher in Brooklyn, New York, and was a co-founder of the Urban Assembly School for Law and Justice (a law-themed high school). Wisconsin Department Of Children And Families
The Wisconsin Department of Children and Families (DCF) is an agency of the Wisconsin state government responsible for providing services to assist children and families and to oversee county offices handling those services. This includes child protective services, adoption and foster care services, and juvenile justice services. The Wisconsin Senate is the upper house of the Wisconsin State Legislature. Together with the larger Wisconsin State Assembly they constitute the legislative branch of the state of Wisconsin.
