Emilian Kavalski
Emilian Kavalski is a Bulgarian-Australian political scientist and international relations scholar. He is the inauguraNAWA Chair Professor in thCentre for International Studies and Developmentat the Jagiellonian University in Krakow, Poland. Since 2014, he has served as the book series editor for Routledge’s Rethinking Asia and International Relations' series. Prior to joining the Jagiellonian University, Emilian was the Li Dak-Sum Chair Professor in China-Eurasia Relations and International Studies and the founding Director of thGlobal Institute of Silk Roads Studiesat the University of Nottingham Ningbo China (2018-2021). In 2006, he completed his PhD in International Relations at the Loughborough University. The St. Cyril and St. Methodius University of Veliko Tarnovo (Bulgarian ''Великотърновски университет „Св. св. Кирил и Методий“'') is a Bulgarian university based in Veliko Tarnovo. History The university was established on 15 September 1963. It inherited the cultural and education traditions of Turnovo Literary School. An academy ( Attic Greek: Ἀκαδήμεια; Koine Greek Ἀκαδημία) is an institution of secondary or tertiary higher learning (and generally also research or honorary membership). The name traces back to Plato's school of philosophy, founded approximately 385 BC at Akademia, a sanctuary of Athena, the goddess of wisdom and skill, north of Athens, Greece. Etymology The word comes from the ''Academy'' in ancient Greece, which derives from the Athenian hero, '' Akademos''. Outside the city walls of Athens, the gymnasium was made famous by Plato as a center of learning.
