Emilee Klein
Emilee Klein (born June 11, 1974) is an American professional golfer and college golf coach who played on the LPGA Tour. Klein was born in Santa Monica, California and grew up in Sherman Oaks, California, where she attended Notre Dame High School. She had a successful amateur career winning several tournaments including the 1991 U.S. Girls' Junior. She played college golf at Arizona State University and won the 1994 NCAA Division I Championship as well as being on the winning team in 1993 and 1994. She was a member of the U.S. Curtis Cup team in 1994. Klein qualified for the LPGA Tour in the LPGA Final Qualifying Tournament in 1994. She won three times on the LPGA Tour between 1996 and 2001. She was a member of the 2002 Solheim Cup team. The PING/Welch's Championship was an annual golf tournament for professional female golfers on the LPGA Tour. Founded in 1980 as the Boston Five Classic, it took place every year in the Greater Boston area from 1980 through 1997. It was played at the Ferncroft Country Club in Danvers from 1980 to 1990 and at the Blue Hill Country Club in Canton from 1991 to 1997. Solheim Cup
The Solheim Cup is a biennial golf tournament for professional women golfers contested by teams representing Europe and the United States. It is named after the Norwegian-American golf club manufacturer Karsten Solheim, who was a driving force behind its creation. The inaugural Cup was held in 1990, and the event was first staged in even numbered years until 2002, alternating years with the Ryder Cup (the equivalent men's event). As part of the general reshuffling of team golf events after the one-year postponement of the 2001 Ryder Cup following the September 11 attacks, the Solheim Cup switched to odd numbered years beginning in 2003. Another reshuffle of team golf events took place in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the Solheim Cup will return to even numbered years from 2024. Kelly Robbins
Kelly Robbins (born September 29, 1969) is a former American professional golfer. She became a member of the LPGA Tour in 1992 and won nine LPGA Tour events, including one major championship, during her career. Amateur career Robbins was born in Mount Pleasant, Michigan. She started playing golf at the age of 8. She attended the University of Tulsa, where she was a member of the NCAA Championship team in 1988. Throughout her collegiate career, she won seven individual titles and twice was named a First-Team All-American. Annika Charlotta Sörenstam (; born 9 October 1970) is a Swedish professional golfer. She is regarded as one of the best female golfers in history. Before stepping away from competitive golf at the end of the 2008 season, she had won 90 international tournaments as a professional, making her the female golfer with the most wins to her name. She has won 72 official LPGA tournaments including ten majors and 24 other tournaments internationally. Penny Hammel
Penny Hammel (born March 24, 1962) is an American professional golfer, who joined the LPGA Tour in 1985. Amateur career Hammel was born in Decatur, Illinois. She won several amateur tournaments including the 1979 U.S. Girls' Junior. In the 1979 PGA Junior Championship she finished five strokes ahead of her closest opponent. As a member of the University of Miami women's golf team, Hammel won the 1983 NCAA Women's Golf Championship, and her team won the title in 1984. She was a 1983-84 All-American and a member of the 1984 U.S. Curtis Cup team. In 1983, she won the Broderick Award (now the Honda Sports Award) as the nation's best female collegiate golfer.
