Emil Ratzenhofer (born 2 August 1914, date of death unknown) was an Austrian pair skater. Competing with his sister Herta Ratzenhofer, he won five gold medals at the Austrian Figure Skating Championships. The pair won the bronze medal at the European Figure Skating Championships in 1948 and 1949. Pair skating is a figure skating discipline defined by the International Skating Union (ISU) as "the skating of two persons in unison who perform their movements in such harmony with each other as to give the impression of genuine Pair Skating as compared with independent Single Skating".S&P/ID 2021, p. 109 The ISU also states that a pairs team consists of "one Woman and one Man". The European Figure Skating Championships is an annual figure skating competition in which figure skaters compete for the title of European champion. Medals are awarded in the disciplines of men's singles, women's singles, pair skating, and ice dance.
