Emil José Martínez Cruz (; (born 17 September 1982) is a Honduran former professional footballer who played as a midfielder. Club career Martínez made his professional debut for Marathón and played abroad for Alajuelense in the Primera División de Costa Rica and Primera División de México side Indios. Also, he was attached to several clubs in Chinese Super League, including Shanghai Shenhua, Beijing Guoan and Hangzhou Greentown. In January 2012 he joined Hunan Billows. In January 2013, he returned to Marathón along with fellow Hunan player Astor Henríquez. Martínez finished top scorer and best player on the 07-08 Apertura season while playing for Marathón. Astor Shermón Henríquez Cooper (; born 26 February 1983) is a Honduran footballer, who currently plays for Marathón in the Honduran National League as a defender. Club career Henríquez started his career at Universidad and, after a short stint at F.C. Motagua, played for Marathón for five years. He moved abroad to play alongside compatriots Erick Norales and Emil Martínez for Chinese second division side Hunan Billows in 2012. He returned to Marathón for the 2013 Clausura championship. The 2007 CONCACAF Gold Cup was the ninth edition of the Gold Cup, the soccer championship of North America, Central America and the Caribbean (CONCACAF), and was won by the United States over Mexico. 2003 CONCACAF Gold Cup
The 2003 CONCACAF Gold Cup was the seventh edition of the Gold Cup, the association football championship of North America, Central America and the Caribbean (CONCACAF). For the first time since 1993, the tournament was held in more than one country, with games played in both United States and Mexico. The games were played in Mexico City, Miami, and for the first time in a northern U.S. city, Foxborough. The 2007 UNCAF Nations Cup was the ninth version of the biennial football tournament for the CONCACAF national teams of Central America. The event took place in San Salvador, El Salvador from February 8 to February 18, 2007. It was the second time El Salvador hosted the competition. The tournament also served as a qualifying process for the 2007 CONCACAF Gold Cup. Costa Rica won the tournament on penalty kicks after a 1–1 draw with Panama in the final.
