Emil Boures
Emil Nicholas Boures (born January 29, 1960) is a former American football player who played four seasons in the National Football League (NFL) with the Pittsburgh Steelers. Early life Boures was born in Bridgeport, Pennsylvania and attended Bishop Kenrick High School in Norristown, Pennsylvania. He matriculated at the University of Pittsburgh (Pitt). Football career Boures was drafted by the Pittsburgh Steelers in the seventh round of the 1982 NFL draft. He played for the Steelers from 1982 through 1985 starting fourteen games in that four-year span. Center or Centre (C) is a position in gridiron football. The center is the innermost lineman of the offensive line on a football team's offense. The center is also the player who passes (or "snaps") the ball between his legs to the quarterback at the start of each play. The importance of centers for a football team has increased, due to the re-emergence of 3–4 defenses. American football (referred to simply as football in the United States and Canada), also known as gridiron, is a team sport played by two teams of eleven players on a rectangular field with goalposts at each end. The offense, the team with possession of the oval-shaped football, attempts to advance down the field by running with the ball or passing it, while the defense, the team without possession of the ball, aims to stop the offense's advance and to take control of the ball for themselves. The 1982 NFL draft was the procedure by which National Football League teams selected amateur college football players. It is officially known as the NFL Annual Player Selection Meeting.
