Emil Bergquist
Emil Bergquist (December 16, 1955) is an American politician serving as a member of the Kansas House of Representatives from the 91st district. He assumed office on January 23, 2018. Career Prior to entering politics, Bergquist worked in the research and development department of Textron Aviation. For 15 years, Bergquist served as a member of the Park City City Council, including as mayor of the city. He retired in 2013, citing a desire to spend more time with his family. Greg Lakin is an American politician who served in the Kansas House of Representatives as a Republican for one year, from January 2017 to January 8, 2018. A physician, Lakin worked as the medical director of a private clinic when he was elected to the state legislature in the 2016 elections. He won the Republican primary election, 64% to 36%, and faced no opposition in the general election. A year after he took office, Lakin resigned his seat after he was appointed by Kansas Governor Sam Brownback as Chief Medical Officer of the Kansas Department of Health and Environment. Park City, Kansas
Park City is a city in Sedgwick County, Kansas, United States, and a suburb of Wichita. As of the 2020 census, the population of the city was 8,333. History The first Park City was founded in 1870. Located to the northwest of Wichita, it was at first a formidable rival, but it risked all on the county seat and lost. When the railroad passed it by and came to Wichita, the town died, and its houses were removed to Wichita, Newton and Hutchinson. The current Park City began as the Park City Improvement District in 1953. The District grew from a quarter section of farmland purchased by developers into a community. After the approval of the Sedgwick County Board of Commissioners, Park City became a third class city on November 26, 1980.
