Charlie Emig
Charles Henry Emig (April 5, 1875 – October 2, 1975) was a Major League Baseball pitcher. He played in one game for the Louisville Colonels of the National League in 1896. Emig is currently accepted to be the most recently passed 19th century major league player, after having taken baseball researchers two decades after his death to discover that he, not Ralph Miller (right-handed pitcher), Ralph Miller as previously thought, held that distinction. Though Charlie Emig played in just one game at the top level, he ranks (as of 2021) #12 on the list of longest-lived players in major-league baseball history.  He was also the last surviving 19th-century big-leaguer. Jeff Emig
Cam Jeffrey Emig (born December 1, 1970) is an American former professional motocross racer. He competed in the AMA Motocross Championships from 1988 to 1999. He was one of the top American motocross racers of the 1990s. During his motorcycle racing career, Emig won four AMA Motocross Championships, an FIM World Supercross title and was a six-time member of the U.S. Motocross des Nations team. He was inducted to the AMA Motorcycle Hall of Fame in 2004. Motorcycle racing career Emig was born in Kansas City, Kansas where he began trail riding on motorcycles with his family. He followed his older brother in taking up the sport of motocross. He was successful as an amateur racer winning four titles at the AMA Amateur Motocross Nationals at the Loretta Lynn Ranch in Tennessee. Janet Emig
Janet Emig (born October 12, 1928 in Cincinnati, Ohio) was an American composition scholar. She is known for her groundbreaking 1971 study ''The Composing Process of Twelfth Graders'' (''National Council of Teachers of English Research Report No. 13''), which contributed to the development of the process theory of composition. Her article, "Writing as a Mode of Learning" (1977) is also frequently cited and anthologized by the Writing Across the Curriculum movement. Life Janet A. Emig was born in Cincinnati, Ohio.
