Elysia (gastropod)
''Elysia'' is a genus of sea slugs, marine gastropod molluscs in the family Plakobranchidae. These animals are colorful sea slugs, and they can superficially resemble nudibranchs, but are not very closely related to them. Instead they are sacoglossans, commonly known as sap-sucking slugs.Bouchet, P.; Gofas, S. (2010). Elysia Risso, 1818. In: Bouchet, P.; Gofas, S.; Rosenberg, G. (2010) World Marine Mollusca database. Accessed through: World Register of Marine Species at http://www.marinespecies.org/aphia.php?p=taxdetails&id=137928 on 2010-12-14 ''Elysia'' sea slugs graze on algae and some species such as '' E. viridis'' and '' E. chlorotica'' hijack the chloroplasts for themselves. The chloroplasts end up lining the slug’s digestive tract, enabling the slugs to survive solely by photosynthesis for several months at a time. This association is crucial for the development and maturing of the slug. Exactly how the slugs use the chloroplasts is unclear, as many of the proteins used ...

Elysia Ornata
''Elysia ornata'', commonly known as ornate elysia or ornate leaf slug, is a species of sea slug, a marine gastropod mollusk. This sea slug superficially resembles a nudibranch, yet it does not belong to that suborder of gastropods. Instead it is a member of the closely related clade Sacoglossa, the "sap-sucking" sea slugs. Description ''Elysia ornata'' can grow to about in length. It is a translucent greenish-yellow colour speckled with white and black. It has broad parapodia each edged with an orange band and a black margin. The rhinophores are similarly coloured with a band of orange and dark tips.''Elysia ornata''

Stiligeridae
Limapontiidae is a taxonomic family of small to minute sacoglossan sea slugs. These are marine opisthobranch gastropod mollusks.Bouchet, P.; Gofas, S. (2011). Limapontiidae. Accessed through: World Register of Marine Species at http://www.marinespecies.org/aphia.php?p=taxdetails&id=23063 on 2011-04-12 These sea slugs resemble nudibranchs, but are not closely related to them. Most of the species are green because of the green algae they eat and live on. In the taxonomy of Bouchet & Rocroi (2005), the former family Stiligeridae is described as a synonym of the family Limapontiidae Gray, 1847, belonging to the superfamily Limapontioidea Jensen, 1996. This family has no subfamilies. Genera The following genera belong to the family Limapontiidae: * '' Alderella'' Odhner in Franc, 1968 * '' Alderia'' Allman, 1846 * '' Alderiopsis'' Baba, 1968 * ''Calliopaea'' d'Orbigny, 1837 * '' Costasiella'' Pruvot-Fol, 1951 - 15 speciesSwennen C. Elysia Bangtawaensis
''Elysia bangtawaensis'' is a species of sea slug, a marine gastropod mollusc in the family Plakobranchidae. Although this sea slug resembles a nudibranch, it is not a nudibranch but is part of a rather different clade, the sacoglossans, also known as the "sap-sucking" sea slugs. ''Elysia bangtawaensis'' was first described by Swennen in 1997 from specimens found in mangrove swamps in southern Thailand. Elysia Australis
''Elysia australis'' is a species of sea slug, a marine gastropod mollusc in the family Plakobranchidae. This sea slug resembles a nudibranch, but it is not closely related to that order of gastropods, instead it is a sacoglossan. It occurs in Australia. Description ''Elysia australis'' has a slim, slug-like appearance and can grow to a length of but is a more normal size. In colour it is varying shades of green with splotches of white, sometimes with black speckles. The parapodia are edged with a narrow black line and the tail tip is black. The rhinophores are also dark and there is a distinctive black T-shaped mark in front of and between them. ''Elysia australis'' is not easy to observe because its colour derives from the chloroplast A chloroplast () is a type of membrane-bound organelle known as a plastid that conducts photosynthesis mostly in plant and algal cells. The photosynthetic pigment chlorophyll captures the energy from sunlight, converts it, and ...
