Eltham Football Club is an Australian rules football club in Eltham, Victoria, currently competing in the Northern Football League. History The Eltham Football Club began playing social matches at nearby Kangaroo Ground, Diamond Creek and Greensborough from around 1904. Phil McGavin was listed as Secretary in 1904. In 1907, Police Constable "Ike" Stephens convened a meeting with the idea of providing entertainment for the lads and an outlet for their surplus energy. . Eltham continued to play social games however World War One saw these stop. After the return of the men in 1918-19, Eltham returned to the football field. In 1920, the Eltham Football Club joined the Heidelberg District Football League. The team travelled by train to Ivanhoe to play their first game. Home games were played at Eltham Park, now called Eltham Lower Park. Eltham ( ) is a district of southeast London, England, within the Royal Borough of Greenwich. It is east-southeast of Charing Cross, and is identified in the London Plan as one of 35 major centres in Greater London. Reservoir Lakeside Football Club
West Preston Lakeside Football Club is an Australian rules football club in Reservoir, Victoria, currently competing in the Northern Football League. History The West Preston F.C. was formed in 1948 in the CYMS competition. It remained there until 1963, when it joined the very strong church based YCW National Football Association. The club had a reasonable amount of success and it was decided that it should field junior sides as well and from those early days more than 10 players from those sides went on to join the ranks of the then VFL. The club had continued to grow which led the club to apply for membership in the Diamond Valley Football League in 1981. The DVFL was one of, if not the strongest of Melbourne's suburban competitions and thus the successful application was a great moment for the club. The St Kilda Football Club, nicknamed the Saints, is a professional Australian rules football club based in Melbourne, Victoria. The club plays in the Australian Football League (AFL), the sport's premier league. Nick Coffield
Nicholas John Coffield (born 23 October 1999) is a professional Australian rules footballer playing for the St Kilda Football Club in the Australian Football League (AFL). He was drafted by St Kilda with their second selection and eighth overall in the 2017 national draft. Early life Coffield captained his school football side and the Northern Knights when he was 18. He also had a standout national carnival representing Vic Metro in the TAC Cup, earning All-Australian selection in his final year of junior footy. Peter Moore (Australian Rules Footballer)
Peter Moore (born 11 January 1957) is a former Australian rules footballer who played for Collingwood and Melbourne in the Victorian Football League (VFL). Early life and education As a student at Eltham High School, Moore excelled in both academic and sporting events. He played for the Eltham Football Club before being selected to play for Collingwood. Sporting career A tall, agile ruckman with good ball skills, Moore is one of only five men to have won Brownlow Medals at different clubs; with Collingwood in 1979 and with Melbourne in 1984. Winner of the Copeland Trophy in 1979 and 1980 and captain of Collingwood from 1981 to 1982, Moore was inducted into the Collingwood Hall of Fame before being transferred to the Melbourne Football Club. Phil Maylin (born 20 April 1956) is a former Australian rules footballer who played with Carlton and Footscray in the Australian Football League (VFL) during the 1980s. Originally from Adelaide, Maylin played for South Australian National Football League (SANFL) club Woodville until recruited by Carlton prior to the 1980 VFL season. A utility, Maylin finished second in Carlton's 1982 Best and Fairest award and played mainly as a ruck-rover and midfielder. Maylin was a premiership player with Carlton in 1981 and 1982 but later struggled to hold his place in the side and transferred to Footscray for the 1985 VFL season. Brent Macaffer
Brent Macaffer (born 29 February 1988) is a former professional Australian rules footballer who played for the Collingwood Football Club in the Australian Football League (AFL). He was recruited in the 2006 AFL draft. Macaffer is one of a string of players to have been recruited by Collingwood from Gippsland. Despite his small stature, Macaffer led the TAC Cup U/18 goalkicking in 2006, and was named at full forward in the Team of the Year. Whittlesea is a town in Victoria, Australia, north-east from Melbourne's central business district, located within the City of Whittlesea local government area. Whittlesea recorded a population of 6,117 at the . History The Post Office opened on 1 September 1853 as Plenty and was renamed Whittlesea in 1864. The town may have been named after Whittlesey, in England. A school opened in a single stone building in 1878 and is to this day the home to Whittlesea Primary School. The railway to Whittlesea was opened on 23 December 1889 as an extension to what is now the Mernda line, and closed in December 1959.
