Gert Elsässer
Gert Elsässer (born 1949) is an Austrian skeleton racer Skeleton is a winter sliding sport in which a person rides a small sled, known as a skeleton bobsled (or -sleigh), down a frozen track while lying face down and head-first. The sport and the sled may have been named from the bony appearance of ... who competed in the early 1980s. He won the gold medal in the men's event at the first skeleton World Championships in 1982 in St. Moritz. He was European champion in 1981 and 1982 and came in second in 1983. Hayley Elsaesser
Hayley Elsaesser is an Australian-educated fashion designer based in Hamilton, Ontario. Elsaesser grew up in Cambridge, Ontario. She developed an interest in fashion shopping at second hand stores. She studied at the Queensland University of Technology, graduating in 2013. Her eponymous fashion line was launched the same year. Elsaesser opened a flagship store on Toronto's Queen Street West in 2015. She moved the business online in 2020 and relocated to Hamilton, Ontario. Elsaesser has dressed celebrities including Katy Perry and Miley Cyrus. Her designs appeared in Tegan and Sara's video for the single ''U-Turn''. In 2022 she partnered with Smirnoff to design the limited edition Very Berry Cool collection, using coolant material. Martin Elsaesser
Martin Elsaesser (28 May 1884 – 5 August 1957) was a German architect and professor of architecture. He is especially well known for the many churches he built. Life From 1901 to 1906, Elsaesser studied architecture at the Technical University of Munich under Friedrich von Thiersch and the Technical University of Stuttgart under Theodor Fischer. In 1905 he won the competition for the Lutheran church of Baden-Baden and started to be active as a freelance architect. From 1911 to 1913, he served as an assistant to Professor Paul Bonatz, at Stuttgart Technical University. In 1913, he became professor for medieval architecture at the same institution (until 1920). From 1920 to 1925, he was managing director of the School of Arts and Crafts at Cologne (later known as the Kölner Werkschulen). Thomas Elsaesser (22 June 1943 – 4 December 2019) was a German film historian and professor of Film and Television Studies at the University of Amsterdam. He was also the writer and director of ''The Sun Island'', a documentary essay film about his grandfather, the architect Martin Elsaesser. He was married to scholar Silvia Vega-Llona. Chasselas or Chasselas blanc is a wine grape variety grown mainly in Switzerland, France, Germany, Portugal, Hungary, Romania, New Zealand, Croatia and Chile. Elsasser Bakery
The Elsasser Bakery is a building at 1802 and 1804 Vinton Street in South Omaha, Nebraska. The building was built in 1923 for the William L. Elsasser Bakery. The Elsasser name is carved into a stone panel at the top of the red brick building. The building was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2006 as part of the admission of the Vinton Street Commercial Historic District. The building's main occupant is currently the River City Saloon. History The Elsasser family were bakers from the town of Vaihingen, Württemberg, Germany. After arriving in Omaha in the early 1880s, the family patriarch, Christian G. Elsasser, opened the first Elsasser family bakery at 709 Leavenworth Street.
