Eloise Sheridan
Eloise Sheridan (born September 1985) is an Australian cricket umpire who is part of the Development Panel of ICC Umpires. In December 2018, Sheridan and Claire Polosak became the first pair of female umpires to stand in competitive match in Australia, when they officiated in the 2018–19 Women's Big Bash League season. In February 2019, Sheridan and Mary Waldron became the first female umpires to stand in a men's grade cricket match, during a fixture in the South Australian Grade Cricket League. Sheridan was also one of the umpires for the 2019 ICC Women's World Twenty20 Qualifier tournament in Scotland, her first international appointment. On 28 November 2020, Sheridan and Claire Polosak were the on-field umpires for the final of the 2020–21 Women's Big Bash League season, the first time two female umpires officiated in a national final. Women's Test Cricket
Women's Test cricket is the longest format of women's cricket and is the female equivalent to men's Test cricket. Matches comprise four-innings and are held over a maximum of four days between two of the leading cricketing nations. The rules governing the format differ little from those for the men's game, with differences generally being technicalities surrounding umpiring and field size. The first women's Test match was played by England women and Australia women in December 1934, a three-day contest held in Brisbane which England won by nine wickets. A total of 144 Women's Test matches have been played. 2022 Women's Cricket World Cup
The 2022 ICC Women's Cricket World Cup was the twelfth edition of the Women's Cricket World Cup, which was held in New Zealand in March and April 2022. It was originally scheduled for 6 February to 7 March 2021 but was postponed by one year due to the COVID-19 pandemic. On 15 December 2021, the International Cricket Council (ICC) announced that the tournament would start on 4 March 2022, with the final scheduled for 3 April 2022. New Zealand qualified automatically as hosts, with all other qualification places determined by the ICC ODI Rankings. Originally, it was announced that three more teams would qualify from the 2017–2020 ICC Women's Championship, but in 2018 this was changed to four teams plus the hosts. The England women's cricket team played against Australia women's cricket team in January and February 2022 to contest the Women's Ashes. The tour consisted of one Women's Test match, three Women's One Day Internationals (WODIs), and three Women's Twenty20 Internationals (WT20Is). The 2020–21 Women's Big Bash League season or WBBL, 06 was the sixth season of the Women's Big Bash League (WBBL), the semi-professional women's Twenty20 domestic cricket competition in Australia. The tournament took place from 25 October to 28 November 2020. It was played entirely in Sydney due to ongoing state border restrictions brought about by the COVID-19 pandemic. The 2019 ICC Women's T20 World Cup Qualifier was an international women's cricket tournament that was held in August and September 2019 in Scotland. South Australian Grade Cricket League
South Australian Premier Cricket (previously known as South Australian District Cricket and South Australian Grade Cricket) is the semi-professional State league based in metropolitan Adelaide, South Australia. It is currently the highest level of cricket played in South Australia outside first-class cricket.
