Elocation
''Elocation'' is the second studio album by Canadian hard rock band Default (band), Default. It was released on November 25, 2003 by TVT Records. The album spawned three singles, including the song "(Taking My) Life Away", which aired on Muzak, Muzak's Power Rock station. This album failed to match the success of The Fallout (Default album), their debut, but is the band's second most commercially successful album being certified Gold in Canada. The final track, an acoustic version of "Let You Down," originally appeared on their previous album. The album was produced by Butch Walker and Nickelback's Chad Kroeger and contains a cover of the song "Cruel" by Jeff Buckley. Critical reception Tom Harrison of ''The Province'' rated the album three stars out of four. He thought that the band showed creative growth from their previous album. The Fallout (Default Album)
''The Fallout'' is the debut studio album by Canada, Canadian post-grunge/alternative rock band Default (band), Default. Chad Kroeger, the Lead vocalist, frontman of Nickelback, contributed to the album's production and co-wrote six of its songs including its second single (music), single. With two hit single (music), singles, ''The Fallout'' is widely considered Default's best work and was their biggest commercial success, gaining platinum certification in the United States. The song "Wasting My Time (Default song), Wasting My Time" received much airplay throughout 2001 and 2002. The second single, "Deny (Default song), Deny", was featured on the soundtrack of the popular ''NHL series, NHL 2003'' game by EA Sports and also received a great deal of air time, helping launch Default into the mainstream of Canadian rock.
