Elliot Reed
Elliot Reed (born 1992) is an American dancer and performance artist. Their projects span dance, video, performance, and sculpture and explores the relationship between physicality, time, and systems. Reed has shown internationally at venues like MoMA PS 1, New York, Kunsthaus Glarus, Switzerland, and The Getty Museum, Los Angeles. Reed is a 2019 danceWEB scholar, 2019–20 Artist in Residence at The Studio Museum in Harlem, and recipient of the 2019 Rema Hort Mann Emerging Artist Grant. Early life and education Reed was born in 1992. Reed graduated from The School Of The Art Institute Of Chicago with a BFA in 2011 and will graduate from the Institut Chorégraphique International - CCN Montpellier with an MA in Choreography in 2023. Naudline Cluvie Pierre (born 1989), is an American visual artist working primarily in oil painting and drawing. Pierre's work incorporates traditional art historical references such as Renaissance portraiture, religious iconography, and figuration to create vibrant compositions. She lives in Brooklyn, New York. Early life and education Naudline Pierre was born in 1989 in Leominster, Massachusetts. Pierre is the offspring of Haitian immigrants to the United States, her father is a church minister, and religious storytelling as well as Biblical narratives were ever-present while the artist was growing up. Jade Kuriki-Olivo (born 1989), known by the pseudonym Puppies Puppies, is a contemporary artist known primarily for her conceptual works of sculpture, installation, and performance art. Her practice mobilizes readymade objects and characters from popular culture while questioning the authority of various institutional practices in the medical field, the university, and museum space. Her 2017 work ''Liberté (Liberty)'', was the first and only work of performance art to be acquired by the Whitney Museum of American Art for its permanent collection.
