Elliot Jacobson
Elliot Benjamin Jacobson is an American drummer, songwriter and producer. He was the producer and cowriter of Vérité for her first EP, Echo and the majority of her second EP, Sentiment. He plays drums for the New York-based singer/songwriter Ingrid Michaelson. He also plays drums for Jenny Owen Youngs, Elle King, Emily Kinney, and Wakey! Wakey!. Elliot was born in Houston, TX and moved as a teen to Buffalo, NY. Elliot started playing drums in his middle school band, later playing with A New Easy Way. It was while Elliot was attending Wagner College on Staten Island, NY that he met Ingrid Michaelson and her bassist Chris Kuffner. Ingrid invited Elliot to play drums on her first album Slow The Rain. He later played drums on Girls and Boys, Be Ok, Everybody, Human Again, Lights Out and other separate releases. Kelsey Regina Byrne (born May 6, 1990), known professionally as Vérité (stylized as VÉRITÉ), is an American singer and songwriter based in Brooklyn, New York City. Her first single "Strange Enough" was self-released in July 2014, reaching number one on Hype Machine and becoming the #1 Most Viral Twitter Artist the week of release. Described variously as indie pop, electropop or alternative pop, Liza Darwin of Noisey wrote that her 2014 ''Echo EP'' is "packed with crisp, delicate vocals, soaring melodies, and glistening production." Her second EP, ''Sentiment'', was self-released on June 8, 2015. The EP was praised by ''Time'', who called her vocals "rich and ethereal".
