Ellen Grove railway station is a proposed railway station on the Springfield line in Queensland, Australia. It would serve the Brisbane suburb of Ellen Grove and would be located between Richlands and Springfield stations. Ellen Grove, Queensland
Ellen Grove is an outer south-western suburb in the City of Brisbane, Queensland, Australia. In the , Ellen Grove had a population of 2,906 people. Geography The southern boundary of the suburb is partially marked by the Logan Motorway. The Centenary Highway passes through the suburb from north to south. The Richlands and Inala reservoirs were built in the suburb to increase water pressure for residents in the surrounding suburbs. History Ellen Grove was subdivided for housing around 1959, with the name of the suburb gazetted in 1962 due to lobbying from the Ellen Grove Progress Association. The subdivision were between in area with no services provided. The owner of the original land was R.P. Spinks who had a daughter named Ellen Dabing. She often played with local Aboriginals in a grove of trees along Bullockhead Creek. The area became known as Ellen's Grove. Springfield Railway Line
Springfield railway line is a suburban railway line in Brisbane, Australia that branches from the Ipswich/Rosewood line after Darra railway station. Construction of the line started on , and it opened on 2 December 2013. The line was developed along with the widening of the nearby Centenary Motorway. The line speed is rated for speeds of up to in most sections. However, only the interurban multiple unit 100 and 120 series and New Generation Rollingstock trains can run at the full speed of the line. The current timetable is based on a top speed of between Richlands and Springfield stations, which is faster than the Centenary Motorway that runs alongside. Services on this line are the busiest on the Brisbane network. Richlands Railway Station
Richlands railway station is located on the Springfield line in Queensland, Australia. It serves the Brisbane suburb of Richlands. History Richlands opened on 17 January 2011 as the terminus of what was then the Richlands Line. The line has since been extended to Springfield Central. The station multi-storey car park has 650 car parking spaces for vehicles. Construction and opening Construction started on the station on 1 July 2008. The planning included about 650 car parks, a bus interchange, bicycle lockers and a drop-off area. The station was due to open on 23 January 2011 with no services due to scheduled maintenance works on the Ipswich line, but due to the Queensland floods the opening was brought forward to 17 January 2011 in order to assist with the recovery efforts. Overview The magazine's publisher is the Australian Railway Historical Society (ARHS), NSW Division. The first issue was published in March 1963 under the name ''New South Wales Digest'' and regular publication commenced with the May 1963 edition. It was renamed in January 1983. In January 1985 it changed paper size from SRA5 to A4.
