Elkana Mayard (born May 17, 1982) is a Canadian former soccer player who played as a defender. Career Born in Montreal, Quebec, Mayard started his career in 2002 with Racing de Montréal-Nord, and SC Panellinios Montréal in the Ligue de Soccer Elite Quebec. In the LSEQ he was a finalist for the LSEQ Defender of the Year award for three seasons eventually winning the award in 2002. He played college soccer with Fairleigh Dickinson University for three years. During his US college seasons, he was selected on the all-star team during the tournaments at Duke University in 2004, Wisconsin-Milwaukee in 2005, and Creighton University in 2006. Finally, he was also selected on the second all-star team in 2005 and on the first all-star team in 2006. Rogers Cup (soccer)
The Canadian Soccer League championship final or CSL Championship is the post-season match of the Canadian Soccer League (CSL) and is the successor to the CNSL Championship. The winner is crowned champion in the same manner as in other North American sports leagues (i.e. via a playoff following a regular season). This differs from other top soccer leagues around the world which consider the club with the most points at the end of the season to be the sole champion. 2007 Open Canada Cup
The 2007 Open Canada Cup was the 10th edition of the Canadian Soccer League's open league cup tournament running from July through early September. Trois-Rivières Attak defeated Columbus Clan F.C. 3-0 in the final played at Cove Road Stadium, London, Ontario. It was the Attak's first Open Canada Cup title and marked the first time in the tournament's history where a Quebec club won. The 2007 tournament was significant as it featured for the first time professional and amateur teams from Ontario, Quebec, and British Columbia. The British Columbia teams had their own regional qualifying matches with the winner of the British Columbia Provincial Soccer Championship the Columbus Clan F.C. receiving a bye to the semi-finals. Pierre-Rudolph Mayard (born February 21, 1988), commonly known as Papouche, is a Canadian soccer player who plays as a forward for AS Blainville in the Première Ligue de soccer du Québec. Club career Early career Mayard began his career in 2003, playing with Canadian junior team FC Sélect Rive-Sud. Throughout his playing career, he had stints in Europe, Major League Soccer, and the USL A-League. Club career Mayard began his professional career in 2000 with the Montreal Impact of the USL A-League where he had an impressive rookie campaign, recording 4 goals and 2 assists in only 13 games.
