Eliézer Alfonzo
Eliézer Jesús Alfonzo (; ; born February 7, 1979) is a Venezuelan professional baseball catcher. He has played all or parts of six seasons in Major League Baseball, most recently in 2011 with the Colorado Rockies. He bats and throws right-handed. Eliézer is the second cousin of former MLB star Edgardo Alfonzo. Professional career St. Louis Cardinals Alfonzo originally signed as a non-drafted free agent by the St. Louis Cardinals on July 13, 1996. Alfonzo made his professional debut as a third baseman for St. Louis' affiliate in Dominican Summer League he batted .325 in 24 games. He was converted to catcher in 1997 and batted .275 in 38 contests for the Rookie-level Johnson City Cardinals. Catcher
Catcher is a Baseball positions, position in baseball and softball. When a Batter (baseball), batter takes their at bat, turn to hit, the catcher crouches behind home plate, in front of the (home plate, home) Umpire (baseball), umpire, and receives the ball from the pitcher. In addition to this primary duty, the catcher is also called upon to master many other skills in order to field the position well. The role of the catcher is similar to that of the wicket-keeper in cricket. Positioned behind home plate and facing toward the outfield, the catcher can see the whole field, and is therefore in the best position to direct and lead the other players in a defensive play. The Fresno Grizzlies are a Minor League Baseball team of the California League and the Single-A affiliate of the Colorado Rockies. Jupiter Hammerheads
The Jupiter Hammerheads are a Minor League Baseball team of the Florida State League and the Single-A affiliate of the Miami Marlins. They are located in the town of Jupiter, Florida, Jupiter in Palm Beach County, Florida, and play their home games at Roger Dean Stadium, Roger Dean Chevrolet Stadium. The Florida State League (FSL) is a Minor League Baseball league based in the state of Florida. Having been classified at various levels throughout its existence, it operated at Class A-Advanced from 1990 until its demotion to Single-A following Major League Baseball's 2021 reorganization of the minor leagues. The Northern League was an independent minor professional baseball league. It was not affiliated with Major League Baseball or the organized minor leagues. Huntsville Stars
The Huntsville Stars were a Minor League Baseball team that played in Huntsville, Alabama, from 1985 to 2014. They competed in the Southern League as the Double-A affiliate of Major League Baseball's Oakland Athletics from 1985 to 1998 and Milwaukee Brewers from 1999 to 2014.
