The soundtrack for the film '' Elizabethtown'', directed by Cameron Crowe, constitutes multiple volumes released by RCA Records between 2005-2006. The first volume of original songs from the movie, titled ''Elizabethtown: Songs from the Motion Picture'', was released September 13, 2005. The physical CD release of this first volume remains in print at the time of writing, but is not as pictured here, featuring instead the red cover art seen on AllMusic, and does not include the last song "Plush" referenced by the track listing here. The original score, composed by rock musician Nancy Wilson, was released on October 14, 2005. The four-song extended play ''Songs for the Ride Home'' was released as a limited-time iTunes Exclusive on December 20, 2005. "Plush" is a song by American rock band Stone Temple Pilots. Regarded as their breakthrough song and remains one of the band's biggest hits, becoming their first single to top the ''Billboard'' Mainstream Rock chart, and was released as the second single from the band's 1992 debut studio album, '' Core'', in 1993. Composition and inspiration The song's chord structure was inspired by bassist Robert DeLeo's love of ragtime music, and its lyrics were loosely based on a newspaper article lead singer Scott Weiland had read about a girl who had been found dead after having been kidnapped in the early 1990s. I Nine were a pop rock band formed c. 2004. In 2005, filmmaker Cameron Crowe asked the band to perform the closing credits song, "Same in Any Language," for his movie Elizabethtown (film), ''Elizabethtown''. After being signed by label J Records, their single "Seven Days of Lonely (I Nine Song), Seven Days of Lonely" was released through iTunes in September 2007 and was subsequently chosen by iTunes as the service's "free single of the week" from February 19 to 25, 2008. Their debut studio album, ''Heavy Weighs the King'', was released on May 6, 2008. The band disbanded when singer Carmen Keigans elected to pursue college and the men joined a new band, Tent Revival. In 2020, their former producer Rick Beato revealed that the band had reunited and was recording new songs, now under the name Heavy Weighs the King, adopting the name of their 2008 studio album. The Hollies
The Hollies are a British pop rock band, formed in 1962. One of the leading British groups of the 1960s and into the mid-1970s, they are known for their distinctive three-part vocal harmony style. Wheat is an American indie-rock band formed by Scott Levesque (vocals, guitar), Brendan Harney (drums, vocals), Ricky Brennan Jr. (guitar, vocals), and Kenny Madaras (bass) in Taunton, Massachusetts, in 1996.
