Elizabeth McRae
Elizabeth Helen McRae (née Kersley; born 1 August 1936) is a New Zealand actress, best known for her portrayal of Marjorie Brasch (née Neilson) in the television soap opera ''Shortland Street'', and, in the last decade, as Jean Marlowe, in the internationally distributed TV series ''The Brokenwood Mysteries''. Biography Born in Wellington in 1936, McRae was educated at Wellington Girls' College from 1950 to 1954 and was head prefect in her final year. She graduated from Victoria University College with a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1958, and married architect Don McRae in Wellington the following year. The couple's children include actress, scriptwriter and director Katherine McRae. Her first theatrical role was in Nola Millar's 1955 production of ''Richard II'' at Wellington's Unity Theatre, which also featured Tim Eliott in his acting debut. Terry And The Gunrunners
''Terry and the Gunrunners'' is a book by New Zealand authors Bob Kerr and Stephen Ballantyne. The authors created the comic book ''Terry and the Gunrunners'' in 1982 as part of a series that also included ''Terry and the Yodelling Bull'' (1986) and ''Terry and the Last Moa'' (1991). The comic was a considerable local success, selling over 20,000 copies and eventually the character achieved a cult status as a retro-icon with imagery being used by graphic T-shirt companies. The book was reissued in 2015 to tie in with the new version of the TV series. Plot The story is about Terry Teo the skateboarding schoolboy who is the hero of the story. Along with his martial arts expert sister Polly, he takes on the notorious gunrunner Ray Vegas and his henchmen, Bluey and Curly. Marjorie "Marj" Brasch (previously Neilson) is a fictional character on the New Zealand soap opera ''Shortland Street''. Being part of the original cast, she was portrayed by Elizabeth McRae from the show's first season in 1992 up until 1996. ''Shark in the Park'' is a New Zealand police procedural. It revolved around the professional and private lives of a group of officers at a Wellington police station under the command of Inspector Brian "Sharky" Finn. ''30 Days of Night'' is a 2007 American horror film based on the comic book miniseries of the same name. The film was directed by David Slade and stars Josh Hartnett and Melissa George. The story focuses on an Alaskan town beset by vampires as it enters into a 30-day-long polar night. ''30 Days of Night'' was originally pitched as a comic, then as a film, but it was rejected.
